1 Oração de Davi. Inclinai, Senhor, vossos ouvidos e atendei-me, porque sou pobre e miserável.2 Protegei minha alma, pois vos sou fiel; salvai o servidor que em vós confia. Vós sois meu Deus;3 tende compaixão de mim, Senhor, pois a vós eu clamo sem cessar.4 Consolai o coração de vosso servo, porque é para vós, Senhor, que eu elevo minha alma.5 Porquanto vós sois, Senhor, clemente e bom, cheio de misericórdia para quantos vos invocam.6 Escutai, Senhor, a minha oração; atendei à minha suplicante voz.7 Neste dia de angústia é para vós que eu clamo, porque vós me atendereis.8 Não há entre os deuses um que se vos compare, Senhor; não existe obra semelhante à vossa.9 Todas as nações que criastes virão adorar-vos, e glorificar o vosso nome, ó Senhor.10 Porque vós sois grande e operais maravilhas, só vós sois Deus.11 Ensinai-me vosso caminho, Senhor, para que eu ande na vossa verdade. Dirigi meu coração para que eu tema o vosso nome.12 De todo o coração eu vos louvarei, ó Senhor, meu Deus, e glorificarei o vosso nome eternamente.13 Porque vossa misericórdia foi grande para comigo, arrancastes minha alma das profundezas da região dos mortos.14 Ó Deus, os soberbos se levantaram contra mim, uma turba de prepotentes odeia a minha vida, eles que nem vos têm presente antes os olhos.15 Mas vós, Senhor, sois um Deus bondoso e compassivo; lento para a ira, cheio de clemência e fidelidade.16 Olhai-me e tende piedade de mim, dai ao vosso servo a vossa força, salvai o filho de vossa escrava.17 Dai-me uma prova de vosso favor, a fim de que verifiquem meus inimigos, para sua confusão, que sois vós, Senhor, meu sustento e meu consolo.

Incline, O Lord, thy ear, answer me; for poor and needy am I.2 Preserve my soul; for I am pious: help thy servant, O thou my God, that trusteth in thee.3 Be gracious unto me, O Lord; for unto thee I call all the time.4 Cause to rejoice the soul of thy servant; for unto thee, O Lord, do I lift my soul.5 For thou, O Lord, art good and forgiving, and abundant in kindness unto all that call on thee.6 Give ear, O Lord, unto my prayer, and attend to the voice of my supplications.7 On the day of my distress will I call on thee; for thou wilt answer me.8 There is none like unto thee among the Gods, O Lord; and there is nothing like thy works.9 All the nations whom thou hast made shall come and bow themselves down before thee, O Lord; and they shall ascribe honor unto thy name.10 For great art thou, and doing wondrous things: thou art God by thyself alone.11 Teach me, O Lord, thy way; I will walk firmly in thy truth: unite my heart to fear thy name.12 I will thank thee, O Lord my God, with all my heart, and I will honor thy name for evermore.13 For thy kindness is great toward me: and thou hast delivered my soul from the grave of the lower world.14 O God, the presumptuous are risen up against me, and the assembly of the powerful wicked have sought after my life, and have not set thee before them.15 But thou, O Lord, art God, full of mercy, and gracious, longsuffering, and abundant in kindness and truth.16 Oh turn unto me, and be gracious unto me: give thy strength unto thy servant, and save the son of thy handmaid.17 Display on me a sign for good, that those who hate me may see it, and be ashamed; because thou, Lord, hast helped me, and comforted me.
