1 Vinde, manifestemos nossa alegria ao Senhor, aclamemos o Rochedo de nossa salvação;2 apresentemo-nos diante dele com louvores, e cantemos-lhe alegres cânticos,3 porque o Senhor é um Deus imenso, um rei que ultrapassa todos os deuses;4 nas suas mãos estão as profundezas da terra, e os cumes das montanhas lhe pertencem.5 Dele é o mar, ele o criou; assim como a terra firme, obra de suas mãos.6 Vinde, inclinemo-nos em adoração, de joelhos diante do Senhor que nos criou.7 Ele é nosso Deus; nós somos o povo de que ele é o pastor, as ovelhas que as suas mãos conduzem. Oxalá ouvísseis hoje a sua voz:8 Não vos torneis endurecidos como em Meribá, como no dia de Massá no deserto,9 onde vossos pais me provocaram e me tentaram, apesar de terem visto as minhas obras.10 Durante quarenta anos desgostou-me aquela geração, e eu disse: É um povo de coração desviado, que não conhece os meus desígnios.11 Por isso, jurei na minha cólera: Não hão de entrar no lugar do meu repouso.

1 O come, let us sing unto the Lord: let us shout joyfully to the rock of our salvation.2 Let us come before his presence with thanksgiving, and shout joyfully unto him with psalms.3 For a great God is the Lord, and a great King above all Gods;4 In whose hand are the deep places of the earth; and whose are the heights of mountains;5 Whose is the sea, and who hath made it; and whose hands have formed the dry land.6 Oh come, let us prostrate ourselves and bow down: let us kneel before the Lord our Maker.7 For he is our God; and we are the people of his pasture, and the flock of his hand: yea, this day, if ye will hearken to his voice,8 Harden not your heart, as at Meribah, as on the day of the temptation in the wilderness:9 When your fathers tempted me, proved me, although they had seen my doing.10 Forty years long did I feel loathing on that generation, and I said, It is a people of an erring heart; and they truly acknowledged not my ways:11 So that I swore in my wrath, that they should not enter into my rest.
