1 Sejam justos para toda a gente, diz o Senhor Deus. Façam o que for recto e bom, porque chegarei brevemente para vos salvar.
2 Abençoado é todo aquele que não trabalhar ao sábado, mas antes o respeita. Abençoada é a pessoa que sabe guardar-se de praticar o mal.
3 A minha bênção se dirige igualmente aos gentios que aceitarem o Senhor. E que não pensem estes que farei deles uma espécie de cidadãos de segunda classe!
4 Da mesma forma, esta promessa diz respeito também aos eunucos. Eles podem ser meus, tanto quanto qualquer outro. E tenho a dizer o seguinte aos eunucos que guardam os meus sábados, que preferem as coisas que me agradam, que aceitam a minha aliança:
5 Dar-lhes-ei, na minha casa, dentro das minhas muralhas, um nome, uma honra muito superior à que teriam se gerassem filhos e filhas; visto que será uma honra que não passará, que não desaparecerá.
6 Portanto, aos não-judeus que se juntarem ao povo do Senhor, que o servirem, amarem o seu nome, não desacreditarem os sábados e aceitarem a sua aliança e as suas promessas, os trarei para o meu monte de Jerusalém, e os encherei de alegria no interior da minha casa de oração. Aceitarei os seus sacrifícios e ofertas, porque o meu templo será chamado casa de oração para todo o povo!
8 Porque o Senhor Deus que traz de volta os que foram expulsos para fora de Israel, também trará outros juntamente com o seu povo.
9 Aproximem-se, animais selvagens, venham despedaçar; que as feras das montanhas venham devorar o meu povo.
10 Porque os chefes do meu povo -os vigias do Senhor, os pastores- estão cegos a todo o perigo, estão como que imbecilizados e nem sequer reagem, avisand o quando o perigo se aproxima. Gostam de se deitar, amam a sonolência, deleitam-se em sonhar.
11 São gulosos como cães, nunca se satisfazem; são pastores estúpidos, só compreendem bem aquilo que representa os seus interesses pessoais e imediatos, procurando obter e ganhar tanto quanto possível, cada uma para si e seja de que forma for.
12 Venham, dizem eles. Vamos buscar vinho e fazer uma festa; vamo-nos todos embriagar. Isto assim é que é viver. Faremos isto hoje, amanhã, depois; e quantos mais dias melhor será.
1 Thus, saith Yahweh, Observe ye justice, And execute righteousness,For near, is My salvation, to come in, and My righteousness to be revealed.
2 How happy the frail man, who doeth this! Yea the son of the earth-born who firmly graspeth it! Keeping the sabbath lest he profane it, and Keeping his own hand from doing any wrong.
3 And let not the son of the foreigner, who hath joined himself unto Yahweh, speak, saying, Yahweh, will separate, me from his people, Neither let the eunuch, say, Lo! I, am a tree dried up!
4 For thus, saith YahwehOf the eunuchs, Who shall keep my sabbaths, And choose what I delight in,And lay firm hold on my covenant,
5 That I will give unto themIn my house, And within my walls, A sign and a name, better than sons and daughters,A name age-abiding, will I give him, which shall not be cut off.
6 And, as for the sons of the foreignerWho have joined themselves unto Yahweh To wait upon him, and To love the name of Yahweh, To become his for servants,Every one who keepeth the sabbath, lest he profane it. And who, layeth firm hold on my covenant,
7 Surely I will bring them into my holy mountain And make them joyful in my house of prayer, Their ascending-offerings and their sacrifices, being accepted upon mine altar,For, my house, a house of prayer, shall be called, for all the peoples!
8 Declareth My Lord, Yahweh, Who is gathering the outcasts of Israel:Yet others, will I gather unto him Besides his own gathered ones.
9 All ye beasts of the field! come ye to devour, All ye beasts in the forest.
10 His watchmen, are blind None of them, know, All of them, are dumb dogs, they cannot bark,Dreaming, sleeping, loving to slumber.
11 And, the dogs, are greedy they know not to be satisfied. Yea, they, are shepherds who know not to discern,All of them unto their own way, have turned, Every man to his unjust gain, on every hand:
12 Come ye! I will fetch wine Let us fill ourselves with strong drink,And like this day, shall, to-morrow beGreat beyond measure!
