1 Θα πεις τη μέρα που θ’ απελευθερωθείς, λαέ μου:

«Κύριε, σ’ ευχαριστώ!

Οργίστηκες μ’ εμένα,

μα η οργή σου κόπασε

και μπορώ ν’ ανασάνω».

2 Τότε θα ομολογήσεις:

«Είν’ ο Θεός σωτήρας μου!

Θα έχω εμπιστοσύνη,

τίποτα δε θα φοβηθώ.

Η δύναμή μου είν’ ο Κύριος και το τραγούδι μου,

εκείνος μ’ έσωσε».

3 Χαρούμενοι θ’ αντλήσετε νερό

απ’ τις πηγές της σωτηρίας.

4 Εκείνη τη μέρα θα πείτε:

«Τον Κύριο ανυμνήστε!

Διακηρύξτε ποιος είν’ ο Θεός σας

και φανερώστε στους λαούς τα έργα του.

Υπενθυμίστε πόσο είναι ένδοξος.

5 Ψάλτε στον Κύριο, γιατί έργα

έκανε θαυμαστά.

Σ’ όλη τη γη ας τα μάθουν.

6 Φωνάξτε από χαρά κι απ’ αγαλλίαση, κάτοικοι της Σιών,

γιατί μεγάλος είν’ αυτός

που βρίσκεται ανάμεσά σας,

ο Άγιος Θεός του Ισραήλ».
