| 15 | The way of a fool is right in his own eyes: but he that hearkeneth to counsel is wise. | A bolondnak haragja azon napon megismertetik; elfedezi pedig a szidalmat az eszes ember. |
| 16 | A fool's wrath is presently known: but a prudent man covereth shame. | A ki igazán szól, megjelenti az igazságot, a hamis bizonyság pedig az álnokságot. |

| 23 | A prudent man concealeth knowledge: but the heart of fools proclaimeth foolishness. | A gyorsaknak keze uralkodik; a rest pedig adófizetõ lesz. |
| 24 | The hand of the diligent shall bear rule: but the slothful shall be under tribute. | A férfiúnak elméjében való gyötrelem megalázza azt; a jó szó pedig megvidámítja azt. |
| 25 | Heaviness in the heart of man depresseth it: but a good word maketh it glad. | Útba igazítja az õ felebarátját az igaz; de az istentelenek útja eltévelyíti õket. |
| 26 | The righteous is more excellent than his neighbor: but the way of the wicked seduceth them. | Nem süti meg a rest, a mit vadászásával fogott; de drága marhája az embernek serénysége. |
| 27 | The slothful man roasteth not that which he took in hunting: but the substance of a diligent man is precious. | Az igazságnak útjában van élet; és az õ ösvényének úta halhatatlanság. |
