Psalms 95

1 Come, let us sing aloud to Jehovah, let us shout for joy to the rock of our salvation; 2 Let us come before his face with thanksgiving; let us shout aloud unto him with psalms. 3 For Jehovah is a great ·God*GodHebrew: El and a great king above all gods. 4 In his hand are the deep places of the earth; the heights of the mountains are his also: 5 The sea is his, and he made it, and his hands formed the dry land. 6 Come, let us worship and bow down; let us kneel before Jehovah our Maker.

7 For he is our God*GodHebrew: Elohim and we are the people of his pasture and the sheep of his hand. To-day if ye hear his voice, 8 Harden not your heart, as at Meribah, as in the day of Massah, in the wilderness; 9 When your fathers tempted me, proved me, and saw my work. 10 Forty years was I grieved with the generation, and said, It is a people that do err in their heart, and they have not known my ways; 11 So that I swore in mine anger, that they should not enter into my rest.

1 Venez, chantons avec allégresse à l’Éternel!

Poussons des cris de joie vers le rocher de notre salut.

2 Allons au-devant de lui avec des louanges,

Faisons retentir des cantiques en son honneur!

3 Car l’Éternel est un grand Dieu,

Il est un grand roi au-dessus de tous les dieux.

4 *Job 26:6.Il tient dans sa main les profondeurs de la terre,

Et les sommets des montagnes sont à lui.

5 La mer est à lui, c’est lui qui l’a faite;

La terre aussi, ses mains l’ont formée.

6 Venez, prosternons-nous et humilions-nous,

Fléchissons le genou devant l’Éternel, notre créateur!

7 *Ps 100:3.Car il est notre Dieu,

Et nous sommes le peuple de son pâturage,

Le troupeau que sa main conduit…

*Hé 3:7.Oh! Si vous pouviez écouter aujourd’hui sa voix!

8 N’endurcissez pas votre cœur, *Ex 17:7.No 20:1,2,13.De 6:16.comme à Meriba,

Comme à la journée de Massa, dans le désert,

9 Où vos pères me tentèrent,

*Hé 3:9.M’éprouvèrent, quoiqu’ils vissent mes œuvres.

10 *Hé 3:17.Pendant quarante ans j’eus cette race en dégoût,

Et je dis: C’est un peuple dont le cœur est égaré;

Ils ne connaissent pas mes voies.

11 Aussi je jurai dans ma colère:

Ils n’entreront pas dans mon repos!
