1 Louvai ao Senhor! Louvai o nome do Senhor; louvai-o, servos do Senhor. 2 Vós que assistis na Casa do Senhor, nos átrios da Casa do nosso Deus. 3 Louvai ao Senhor, porque o Senhor é bom; cantai louvores ao seu nome, porque é agradável. 4 Porque o Senhor escolheu para si a Jacó e a Israel, para seu tesouro peculiar.

5 Porque eu conheço que o Senhor é grande e que o nosso Deus está acima de todos os deuses. 6 Tudo o que o Senhor quis, ele o fez, nos céus e na terra, nos mares e em todos os abismos. 7 Faz subir os vapores das extremidades da terra; faz os relâmpagos para a chuva; tira os ventos dos seus tesouros.

8 Foi ele que feriu os primogênitos do Egito, desde os homens até aos animais; 9 que operou sinais e prodígios no meio de ti, ó Egito, contra Faraó e contra os seus servos; 10 que feriu muitas nações e deu morte a poderosos reis: 11 a Seom, rei dos amorreus, e a Ogue, rei de Basã, e a todos os reinos de Canaã, 12 e deu a sua terra em herança, em herança a Israel, seu povo.

13 O teu nome, ó Senhor, permanece perpetuamente; e a tua memória, ó Senhor, de geração em geração. 14 Pois o Senhor julgará o seu povo e se arrependerá em atenção aos seus servos.

15 Os ídolos das nações são prata e ouro, obra das mãos dos homens. 16 Têm boca, mas não falam; têm olhos, e não veem; 17 têm ouvidos, mas não ouvem, nem há respiro algum na sua boca. 18 Semelhantes a eles se tornem os que os fazem, e todos os que confiam neles.

19 Casa de Israel, bendizei ao Senhor! Casa de Arão, bendizei ao Senhor! 20 Casa de Levi, bendizei ao Senhor! Vós, os que temeis ao Senhor, louvai ao Senhor! 21 Bendito seja, desde Sião, o Senhor, que habita em Jerusalém. Louvai ao Senhor!

4 For Jacob hath the Lord chosen unto himself, Israel, as his peculiar treasure.

5 For I well know that the Lord is great, and that our Lord is above all gods.

6 Whatsoever the Lord willeth, hath he done in the heavens, and on the earth, in the seas, and in all the deeps.

7 He causeth clouds to ascend from the ends of the earth; he maketh lightnings with the rain; he bringeth forth the wind out of his treasuries.

8 He it is who smote the first–born of Egypt, both of man and of cattle;

9 Who sent signs and wonderful tokens into the midst of thee, O Egypt, against Pharaoh, and against all his servants;

10 Who smote many nations, and slew mighty kings;

11 Sichon the king of the Emorites, and ‘Og the king of Bashan, and all the kingdoms of Canaan;

12 And gave their land as an inheritance, an inheritance unto Israel his people.

13 O Lord, thy name endureth for ever: O Lord, thy memorial is throughout all generations.

14 For the Lord will espouse the cause of his people, and concerning his servants will he bethink himself.

15 The idols of the nations are silver and gold, the work of the hands of men.

16 Mouths they have, but they speak not; eyes they have, but they see not;

17 Ears they have, but they hear not; neither is there any breath in their mouth.

18 Like them are those that make them, every one that trusteth in them.

19 O house of Israel, bless ye the Lord; O house of Aaron, bless ye the Lord.

20 O house of Levi, bless ye the Lord; ye that fear the Lord, bless the Lord.

21 Blessed be the Lord out of Zion, even he that resideth at Jerusalem. Hallelujah.
