1 [To the chief Musician. Of the sons of Korah. A Psalm.] Thou hast been favourable, Jehovah, unto thy land; thou hast turned the captivity of Jacob:

2 Thou hast forgiven the iniquity of thy people; thou hast covered all their sin. Selah.

3 Thou hast withdrawn all thy wrath; thou hast turned from the fierceness of thine anger.

4 Bring us back, O God of our salvation, and cause thine indignation toward us to cease.

5 Wilt thou be angry with us for ever? wilt thou draw out thine anger from generation to generation?

6 Wilt thou not revive us again, that thy people may rejoice in thee?

7 Shew us thy loving-kindness, O Jehovah, and grant us thy salvation.

8 I will hear what *God, Jehovah, will speak; for he will speak peace unto his people, and to his godly ones: but let them not turn again to folly.

9 Surely his salvation is nigh them that fear him, that glory may dwell in our land.

10 Loving-kindness and truth are met together; righteousness and peace have kissed each other:

11 Truth shall spring out of the earth, and righteousness shall look down from the heavens.

12 Jehovah also will give what is good, and our land shall yield its increase.

13 Righteousness shall go before him, and shall set his footsteps on the way.

1 Psaume des enfants de Coré, [donné] au maître chantre. Eternel, tu t'es apaisé envers ta terre, tu as ramené et mis en repos les prisonniers de Jacob.

2 Tu as pardonné l'iniquité de ton peuple, [et] tu as couvert tous leurs péchés; Sélah.

3 Tu as retiré toute ta colère, tu es revenu de l'ardeur de ton indignation.

4 Ô Dieu de notre délivrance, rétablis-nous, et fais cesser la colère que tu as contre nous.

5 Seras-tu courroucé à toujours contre nous? feras-tu durer ta colère d'âge en âge?

6 Ne reviendras-tu pas à nous rendre la vie, afin que ton peuple se réjouisse en toi?

7 Eternel, fais-nous voir ta miséricorde, et accorde-nous ta délivrance.

8 J'écouterai ce que dira le [Dieu] Fort, l'Eternel; car il parlera de paix à son peuple et à ses bien-aimés, mais que [jamais] ils ne retournent à leur folie.

9 Certainement sa délivrance est proche de ceux qui le craignent, afin que la gloire habite en notre pays.

10 La bonté et la vérité se sont rencontrées; la justice et la paix se sont entre-baisées.

11 La vérité germera de la terre, et la justice regardera des cieux.

12 L'Eternel aussi donnera le bien, tellement que notre terre rendra son fruit.

13 La justice marchera devant lui, et il la mettra partout où il passera.
