1 Praise Jehovah! Praise Jehovah with all my being!2 I will praise Jehovah while I live. I will sing praises to my God while I have my being.3 Do not trust in princes, in mortal man, in whom there is no salvation.4 His spirit Hebrew: ruach, breath, life departs, he returns to the earth; in that very day his thoughts perish come to an end.5 How blessed is he whose help is the God of Jacob, whose hope is in Jehovah his God!6 He made heaven and earth, the sea and all that is in them. He keeps truth faith forever!7 He executes justice for the oppressed. He gives food to the hungry. Jehovah sets the prisoners free.8 Jehovah opens the eyes of the blind. Jehovah raises up those who are bowed down. Jehovah loves the righteous.9 Jehovah protects the strangers. He supports the fatherless and the widow, but he overthrows the way of the wicked.10 Jehovah will be king forever, Your God, O Zion, to all generations. Praise Jehovah!

O Senhor solta os encarcerados;8 o Senhor abre os olhos aos cegos; o Senhor levanta os abatidos; o Senhor ama os justos.9 O Senhor preserva os peregrinos; ampara o órfão e a viúva; mas transtorna o caminho dos ímpios.10 O Senhor reinará eternamente: o teu Deus, ó Sião, reinará por todas as gerações.
