1 Jehovah reigns! Let the earth rejoice and let the multitude of islands be glad.2 Clouds, gloom and darkness are all around Him. Righteousness and judgment are the foundation of his throne.3 A fire goes before him and burns up his enemies round about.4 His lightning lights up the world. The earth sees and trembles.5 The mountains melted like wax at the presence of Jehovah, at the presence of Jehovah of the whole earth.6 The heavens declare his righteousness, and all the people see his glory.7 All those who serve graven images are put to shame. Those who boast themselves in idols and all God-like ones bow down before Him.8 Zion heard and was glad. The daughters of Judah rejoiced because of your judgments, O Jehovah.9 For You, Jehovah, are high above all the earth. You are lifted on high far above all God-like ones.10 You who love Jehovah hate evil! He preserves his anointed ones. He delivers them out of the hand of the wicked.11 Light is sown for the righteous, and gladness for the upright in heart.12 Rejoice in Jehovah, you righteous ones; and give thanks at the memory of his holy name.

1 O Senhor reina, regozije-se a terra; alegrem-se as numerosas ilhas.2 Nuvens e escuridão estão ao redor dele; justiça e eqüidade são a base do seu trono.3 Adiante dele vai um fogo que abrasa os seus inimigos em redor.4 Os seus relâmpagos alumiam o mundo; a terra os vê e treme.5 Os montes, como cerca, se derretem na presença do Senhor, na presença do Senhor de toda a terra.6 Os céus anunciam a sua justiça, e todos os povos vêem a sua glória.7 Confundidos são todos os que servem imagens esculpidas, que se gloriam de ídolos; prostrai-vos diante dele, todos os deuses.8 Sião ouve e se alegra, e regozijam-se as filhas de Judá por causa dos teus juízos, Senhor.9 Pois tu, Senhor, és o Altíssimo sobre toda a terra; tu és sobremodo exaltado acima de todos os deuses.10 O Senhor ama aos que odeiam o mal; ele preserva as almas dos seus santos, ele os livra das mãos dos ímpios.11 A luz é semeada para o justo, e a alegria para os retos de coração.12 Alegrai-vos, ó justos, no Senhor, e rendei graças ao seu santo nome.
