1 The heavens declare the glory of God, and the sky displays what his hands have made.2 Day to day declares speech. Night to night shows knowledge.3 It is done without talking, without words, without their voices being heard.4 Yet, their measuring line rule has gone out into the entire world, their message to the ends of the earth. He has set up a tent in the heavens for the sun.5 It comes out of its chamber like a bridegroom. Like a champion, it is eager to run its course.6 It rises from one end of the heavens. It circles around to the other. Nothing is hidden from its heat.7 The law of Jehovah is perfect. It gives new life. The testimony of Jehovah is dependable. It makes the simple wise.8 The statutes of Jehovah are correct. They make the heart rejoice. The commandments of Jehovah are radiant. They make the eyes shine.9 The reverence of Jehovah is pure. It endures forever. The decisions of Jehovah are true. They are completely fair.10 They are more desirable than gold, even the finest gold. They are sweeter than honey, even the drippings from a honeycomb.11 They warn your servant. There is a great reward in following them.12 Who can notice discernunderstand every mistake? Forgive my hidden faults.13 Keep me from sinning. Do not let anyone gain control over me. Then I will be blameless, and I will be free from any great offense.14 May the words from my mouth and the thoughts from my heart be acceptable to you, O Jehovah, my rock and my Redeemer Purchaser.

1 Os céus proclamam a glória de Deus e o firmamento anuncia a obra das suas mãos.2 Um dia faz declaração a outro dia, e uma noite revela conhecimento a outra noite.3 Não há fala, nem palavras; não se lhes ouve a voz.4 Por toda a terra estende-se a sua linha, e as suas palavras até os consfins do mundo. Neles pôs uma tenda para o sol,5 que é qual noivo que sai do seu tálamo, e se alegra, como um herói, a correr a sua carreira.6 A sua saída é desde uma extremidade dos céus, e o seu curso até a outra extremidade deles; e nada se esconde ao seu calor.7 A lei do Senhor é perfeita, e refrigera a alma; o testemunho do Senhor é fiel, e dá sabedoria aos simples.8 Os preceitos do Senhor são retos, e alegram o coração; o mandamento do Senhor é puro, e alumia os olhos.9 O temor do Senhor é limpo, e permanece para sempre; os juízos do Senhor são verdadeiros e inteiramente justos.10 Mais desejáveis são do que o ouro, sim, do que muito ouro fino; e mais doces do que o mel e o que goteja dos favos.11 Também por eles o teu servo é advertido; e em os guardar há grande recompensa.12 Quem pode discernir os próprios erros? Purifica-me tu dos que me são ocultos.13 Também de pecados de presunção guarda o teu servo, para que não se assenhoreiem de mim; então serei perfeito, e ficarei limpo de grande transgressão.14 Sejam agradáveis as palavras da minha boca e a meditação do meu coração perante a tua face, Senhor, Rocha minha e Redentor meu!
