2 Que todo o Israel o louve, repetindo isto mesmo: A sua bondade é sem limites!3 E também os sacerdotes, da família de Arão, que digam a mesma coisa: A sua misericórdia dura para sempre!.4 Da mesma forma, os que honram o Senhor devem repetir: A sua misericórdia é eterna!6 O Senhor está comigo! Não tenho razão nenhuma para recear, seja o que for, que me possam fazer os homens!7 O Senhor está comigo, dando ajuda a todos os que me apoiam. Tenho a certeza de que triunfarei sobre os que me querem mal.8 É melhor confiar no Senhor do que confiar nos homens.9 É melhor confiar no Senhor, do que nos chefes de uma nação.10 Cercaram-me muitos povos, mas hei-de desabaratá-los pela força do seu nome!11 Sim, cercaram-me, e tornaram-me a cercar, atacaram-me; mas pelo nome do Senhor destruí-os!12 Cercaram-me, como abelhas, esvoaçando prontas para a ferroada. Mas foram liquidados tão rápida e completamente como espinhos secos ardendo no fogo! Porque era o poder do nome do Senhor que actuava.13 O inimigo procurou impelir-me, para me fazer cair fatalmente. Mas o Senhor estava lá, a apoiar-me!14 Deus é a minha força! Ele é o único assunto dos meus cânticos, porque me salvou!15 Na habitação dos que servem o Senhor ouvem-me cantar com toda a alegria, agradecendo Deus pela sua salvação, e porque o seu braço forte e eficaz, faz coisas maravilhosas!16 Ele actua sempre de forma sublime, de forma gloriosa!17 Eu sei que não hei-de morrer agora, mas continuarei a viver para poder cantar a todo o mundo as obras do Senhor!18 O Senhor castigou-me muito, mas não me entregou à morte!19 Abram-me as portas do templo, no qual se conhece a justiça de Deus.20 Aí entrarei e dir-lhe-ei todo o meu profundo reconhecimento! Essas portas são o caminho para a presença do Senhor; por elas passam todos os que amam e obedecem a Deus.21 Senhor, eu te agradeço porque me salvaste, porque me ouviste.22 A pedra que os construtores rejeitaram foi afinal aquela que veio a tornar-se a pedra fundamental do edifício!23 Isto foi outra obra que o Senhor fez, e que até nos parece espantosa!24 Este é o dia que o Senhor fez. Alegremo-nos, pois, rejubilemos todos com isso!25 Salva-nos, Senhor, nós te pedimos! Faz-nos prosperar contigo! Nós te rogamos!26 Louvado seja esse que aí vem em nome do Senhor! Sê feliz e vitorioso no templo de Deus!27 O Senhor é Deus, e fez a sua luz brilhar sobre nós. Tragam a vítima para o sacrifícioe atem-na com cordas às pontas do altar.28 Tu és o meu Deus, e louvar-te-ei;dar-te-ei toda a honra.29 Dêem graças ao Senhor porque ele é bom! O seu amor é eterno!

1 O give thanks to the LORD; for he is good: because his mercy endureth for ever.2 Let Israel now say, that his mercy endureth for ever.3 Let the house of Aaron now say, that his mercy endureth for ever.4 Let them now that fear the LORD say, that his mercy endureth for ever.5 I called upon the LORD in distress: the LORD answered me, and set me in a large place.6 The LORD is on my side; I will not fear: what can man do to me?7 The LORD taketh my part with them that help me: therefore shall I see my desire upon them that hate me.8 It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man.9 It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in princes.10 All nations encompassed me: but in the name of the LORD will I destroy them.11 They encompassed me; yes, they encompassed me: but in the name of the LORD I will destroy them.12 They encompassed me like bees; they are quenched as the fire of thorns: for in the name of the LORD I will destroy them.13 Thou hast violently thrust at me that I might fall: but the LORD helped me.14 The LORD is my strength and song, and is become my salvation.15 The voice of rejoicing and salvation is in the tabernacles of the righteous: the right hand of the LORD doeth valiantly.16 The right hand of the LORD is exalted: the right hand of the LORD doeth valiantly.17 I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the LORD.18 The LORD hath chastened me severely: but he hath not given me over to death.19 Open to me the gates of righteousness: I will enter them, and I will praise the LORD:20 This gate of the LORD, into which the righteous shall enter.21 I will praise thee: for thou hast heard me, and art become my salvation.22 The stone which the builders refused is become the head stone of the corner.23 This is the LORD'S doing; it is wonderful in our eyes.24 This is the day which the LORD hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.25 Save now, I beseech thee, O LORD: O LORD, I beseech thee, send now prosperity.26 Blessed be he that cometh in the name of the LORD: we have blessed you out of the house of the LORD.27 God is the LORD, who hath shown us light: bind the sacrifice with cords, even to the horns of the altar.28 Thou art my God, and I will praise thee: thou art my God, I will exalt thee.29 O give thanks to the LORD; for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever.
