2 Pelo contrário, eles pensam que podem viver bem,e que não serão apanhados,se esconderem as suas obras más.3 Tudo o que dizem é com maldade e engano. Perderam o entendimento das coisas,e nem são já capazes de fazer o bem.4 Ficam acordados durante a noitea fim de planearem os seus actos perversos; em vez de planearem a forma de fazerem o beme de se afastarem do erro.6 A tua justiça é sólida como as grandes montanhas. As tuas decisões são tão cheias de sabedoriacomo os oceanos que também estão cheios de água. Preocupas-te com a vida dos homense até com a dos animais.7 Como é preciosa, ó Deus, a tua bondade! Por isso a humanidade se abriga à sombra das tuas asas.8 Tu os alimentas com bênçãos da tua própria casa,e os fazes beber dos teus rios de gozo divino.9 Pois tu és a fonte da vida;e a nossa luz vem da tua luz.10 Derrama sobre os que te conhecem esse teu amor,que não falha, assim como também a tua justiçasobre os que se conduzem com rectidão.11 Não deixes que a gente orgulhosa me pise; não consintas que mãos perversas me empurrem.12 Mas eles sim é que já caíram,esses obreiros da maldade. Caíram e nunca mais se levantarão.
