2 No vosso coração forjam planos de maldade, para depois fazerem pesar sobre a terra a violência e o suborno.3 Essa gente nasceu já pecadora, mentindo e agradando-se com o erro, desde que nasceram.4 O seu veneno é como o das serpentes;5 são como víboras, surdas perante o mais hábil encantador.7 Desapareçam como a água numa terra seca e arenosa. Despedaça-lhes as armas que seguram nas mãos.8 Sejam como lesmas que se desfazem no lodo; como os que morrem antes de nascer, sem nunca verem o Sol.9 Deus arrebatará, tanto os velhos como os novos. Ele os destruirá mais depressa do que o tempo que é preciso para uma panela aquecer sobre o fogo crepitante de espinhos secos.10 Os que temem Deus se alegrarão com a vitória da justiça. Pisarão os campos da gente má que tiver sido castigada.11 Então toda a gente verificará que o bem é recompensado, e que existe realmente um Deus que julga com justiça na Terra.
