São lisonjeiros e falam sem sinceridade.3 Mas o Senhor castigará os que falam com adulação e altivamente,e que dizem: Continuarei a falar como me apetece.4 A boca é minha. Que tenho eu a ver com Deus?.5 E o Senhor responde: Eu me levantarei para defender os pobres da opressão,para fazer calar os gemidos dos infelizes. Darei salvação aos que suspiram por ela.7 Tu guardarás para sempre os que são teus, Senhor,fora do alcance da influência desta geração má,8 na qual a gente perversa aparece por toda a parte, e os seus filhos mais depravadoschegam a ser os mais admirados e louvados.
