1 Senhor, ouve as palavras da minha oração;2 escuta a minha súplica, meu rei e meu Deus,pois é só a ti que me dirijo.3 De manhã ouvirás a voz da minha oração, Senhor; cada manhã me apresento na tua presença e espero a resposta.4 Porque eu sei que não podes tolerar a maldade,nem o pecado pode existir diante de ti.5 Portanto os pecadores orgulhososnão poderão resistir ao teu olhar penetrante, pois que aborreces todos os que praticam obras más.6 Destruirás os que dizem mentiras; detestas os que fazem derramar sangue inocentee os que enganam o seu semelhante.9 Porque na boca deles não se encontra uma só palavra verdadeira. O seu íntimo está cheio de maldade. São, por dentro, como sepulcro,em que só há mau cheiro de pecado. As suas línguas lisonjeiam,mas só para alcançarem os seus perversos propósitos.10 Declara-os culpados, ó Deus. Que os seus projectos sejam as armadilhasonde eles mesmos são apanhados. Que sejam expulsos para longe de ti,em virtude da multidão das suas transgressões, pois é contra ti que se revoltam.11 Mas que se alegrem todos os que confiam em ti. Que pulem de alegria, para sempre,porque tu os defendes. Que se sintam felizes os que amam o teu nome.12 Pois tu, Senhor, abençoarás aquele que te pertence. Tu os proteges com o escudo do teu amor.
