1 When Jehovah brought back the captivity of Zion, we were like those who dream.

2 Then our mouth was filled with laughter, and our tongue with shouts of joy. Then they said among the nations, Jehovah has done great things for them.

3 Jehovah has done great things for us, and we are joyful.

4 Bring back our captivity, O Jehovah, as the streams in the South.

5 Those who sow in tears shall reap in joy.

6 He who goes forth with weeping, bearing seed for sowing, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him.

1 QUANDO o Senhor trouxe do cativeiro os que voltaram a Sião, estávamos como os que sonham. 2 Então a nossa boca se encheu de riso e a nossa língua de cânticos; então se dizia entre as nações: Grandes cousas fez o Senhor a estes. 3 Grandes cousas fez o Senhor por nós, e por isso estamos alegres. 4 Faze-nos regressar outra vez do cativeiro, Senhor, como as correntes do sul. 5 Os que semeiam em lágrimas segarão com alegria. 6 Aquele que leva a preciosa semente, andando e chorando, voltará sem dúvida com alegria, trazendo consigo os seus molhos.
