1 Bem-aventurado aquele que teme ao Senhor

e anda nos seus caminhos!

2 Do trabalho de tuas mãos comerás,

feliz serás, e tudo te irá bem.

3 Tua esposa, no interior de tua casa,

será como a videira frutífera;

teus filhos, como rebentos da oliveira,

à roda da tua mesa.

4 Eis como será abençoado o homem

que teme ao Senhor!

5 O Senhor te abençoe desde Sião,

para que vejas a prosperidade de Jerusalém

durante os dias de tua vida,

6 vejas os filhos de teus filhos.

1 [A Song of degrees.] Blessed is every one that feareth Jehovah, that walketh in his ways.

2 For thou shalt eat the labour of thy hands; happy shalt thou be, and it shall be well with thee.

3 Thy wife shall be as a fruitful vine in the inner part of thy house; thy children like olive-plants round about thy table.

4 Behold, thus shall the man be blessed that feareth Jehovah.

5 Jehovah will bless thee out of Zion; and mayest thou see the good of Jerusalem all the days of thy life,

4 Eis que assim será abençoado o homem Que teme a Jeová.

5 De Sião te abençoará Jeová: E verás a prosperidade de Jerusalém todos os dias da tua vida.

6 Sim verás os filhos de teus filhos. Que a paz seja sobre Israel.
