1 Somente a ti, ó Senhor Deus,
a ti somente,
e não a nós, seja dada a glória
por causa do teu amor
e da tua fidelidade.
2 Por que é que as outras nações
nos perguntam:
"Onde está o Deus de vocês?"
3 Nós respondemos:
"O nosso Deus está no céu;
ele faz tudo o que quer.
4 Os deuses das outras nações
são de prata e de ouro,
são feitos por seres humanos.
5 Eles têm boca, mas não falam;
têm olhos, mas não veem.
6 Têm ouvidos, mas não ouvem;
têm nariz, mas não cheiram.
7 Têm mãos, mas não podem pegar;
têm pés, mas não andam;
e da garganta deles não sai nenhum som.
8 Que fiquem iguais a esses ídolos
aqueles que os fazem
e os que confiam neles!"
9 Ó israelitas, confiem em Deus, o Senhor!
Ele é a ajuda e o escudo de vocês.
10 Sacerdotes de Deus, confiem no Senhor!
Ele é a ajuda e o escudo de vocês.
11 Confiem no Senhor,
todos os que o temem!
Ele é a ajuda e o escudo de vocês.
12 O Senhor lembra de nós
e nos abençoará;
ele abençoará o povo de Israel
e todos os sacerdotes de Deus.
13 Ele abençoará todos os que o temem,
tanto os importantes como os humildes.
14 Que o Senhor Deus lhes dê
muitos filhos,
a vocês e aos seus descendentes!
15 Que vocês sejam abençoados
pelo Senhor,
que fez os céus e a terra!
16 Os céus pertencem somente ao Senhor,
mas a terra ele deu aos seres humanos.
17 Os mortos, que descem
à terra do silêncio,
não louvam a Deus, o Senhor.
18 Mas nós, que estamos vivos,
daremos graças ao Senhor
agora e para sempre.

3 But our God [is] in the heavens; he has made whatever he has desired.
4 Their idols [are] silver and gold, the work of men's hands.

6 They have ears, but they shall never hear; they have noses, but they shall never smell;
7 they have hands, but they shall never touch; they have feet, but they shall never walk; they shall never speak through their throat.
8 [Let] those that make them become like unto them, [and] every one that trusts in them.
9 O Israel, trust thou in the LORD; he [is] your help and your shield.
10 O house of Aaron, trust in the LORD; he [is] your help and your shield.
11 Ye that fear the LORD, trust in the LORD; he [is] your help and your shield.
12 The LORD has been mindful of us: he will bless [us]; he will greatly bless the house of Israel; he will bless the house of Aaron.
13 He will bless those that fear the LORD, [both] small and great.
14 The LORD shall increase his blessing upon you more and more, upon you and your sons.
15 Ye [are] blessed of the LORD who made the heavens and earth.
16 The heavens [are] the heavens of the LORD, but the earth he has given to the sons of Adam.
17 The dead shall not praise JAH, neither any that go down into silence.
