1 Somente em Deus eu encontro paz;

é dele que vem a minha salvação.

2 Somente ele é a rocha que me salva;

ele é o meu protetor,

e eu nunca serei derrotado.

3 Até quando todos vocês

atacarão um homem

que é mais fraco

do que uma cerca derrubada?

4 Vocês somente querem tirá-lo

do seu lugar de honra.

Vocês gostam de mentir;

dizem coisas boas a respeito dele,

mas no coração o amaldiçoam.

5 Somente em Deus eu encontro paz

e nele ponho a minha esperança.

6 Somente ele é a rocha que me salva;

ele é o meu protetor,

e eu não serei abalado.

7 A minha salvação e a minha honra

dependem de Deus;

ele é a minha rocha poderosa

e o meu abrigo.

8 Confie sempre em Deus, meu povo!

Abram o coração para Deus,

pois ele é o nosso refúgio.

9 Os seres humanos, tanto os pobres

como os ricos, são inúteis,

são somente um sopro.

Se fossem colocados na balança,

não pesariam nada;

são mais leves do que um sopro.

10 Não confiem na violência,

nem esperem ganhar

alguma coisa com o roubo.

Ainda que as suas riquezas aumentem,

não confiem nelas.

11 Mais de uma vez

tenho ouvido Deus dizer

que o poder é dele

12 e o amor, também.

Tu, ó Senhor, recompensas cada um

de acordo com o que faz.

5 My soul, rest thou only in God, for my hope [is] from him.

7 In God [is] my saving health and my glory; the rock of my strength [and] my refuge [is] in God.

8 Wait in him at all times; [ye] peoples, pour out your heart before him; God [is] our refuge. Selah.

9 Surely the sons of Adam [are] vanity, [and] the sons of nobles [are] a lie; to be laid in the balance, they [are] altogether [lighter] than vanity.

10 Trust not in violence and become not vain in the taking of spoil; if riches increase, set not your heart [upon them].

11 God has spoken once; twice have I heard this that power [belongs] unto God.

12 Also unto thee, O Lord, [belongs] mercy, for thou renderest to every man according to his work.:
