1 O Senhor Deus disse ao meu senhor,

o rei:

"Sente-se do meu lado direito,

até que eu ponha os seus inimigos

debaixo dos seus pés."

2 Ó rei, o Senhor Deus estenderá

desde Jerusalém o poder do senhor.

"Domine os seus inimigos"

— disse o Senhor Deus.

3 No dia em que o senhor, ó rei,

os combater,

o seu povo se apresentará

como voluntário.

Como o orvalho da madrugada,

os jovens se encontrarão com o senhor

nos montes sagrados.

4 O Senhor Deus fez este juramento

e não voltará atrás:

"Você será sacerdote para sempre,

na ordem do sacerdócio

de Melquisedeque."

5 Ó rei, Deus está do seu lado direito

e derrotará reis no dia em que se irar.

6 Ele julgará as nações,

cobrirá de mortos os campos de batalha

e, no mundo inteiro, derrotará reis.

7 No caminho, o rei beberá água

de um ribeirão

e se levantará vitorioso.

1 A Psalm of David. The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou at my right hand until I make thine enemies thy footstool.

2 The LORD shall send the rod of thy strength out of Zion; rule thou in the midst of thine enemies.

3 Thy people [shall be] willing in the day of thy power, in the beauty of holiness; [as] the dew [which falls] from the womb of the morning, thus shall those who are thine be born unto thee.

4 The LORD has sworn and will not repent, Thou [art] a priest for ever after the order of Melchizedek.

5 The Lord at thy right hand shall smite the kings in the day of his wrath.

6 He shall judge among the Gentiles; he shall fill their [places] with [dead] bodies; he shall wound the head over much [of the] earth.

7 He shall drink of the brook in the way; therefore he shall lift up [his] head.:
