för han hör min röst,

mitt rop om nåd.

2 Han har vänt sitt öra till mig,

hela mitt liv

ska jag åkalla honom.

dödsrikets ångest grep mig,

jag var i nöd och förtvivlan.

4 Men jag åkallade Herrens namn:

"O, Herre, rädda min själ!"

vår Gud är barmhärtig.

6 Herren bevarar de enkla,

jag var i nöd och han frälste mig.

7 *Ps 42:6, 62:2f. Vänd om till din ro, min själ,

för Herren har varit god mot dig.

8 *Ps 56:14, 71:20, 86:13. Du har räddat min själ från döden,

mitt öga från tårar, min fot från fall.

9 Jag ska vandra inför Herren

i de levandes land.

10 *Ps 27:13, 2 Kor 4:13. Jag tror, därför talar jag,

jag som plågades svårt,

11 *Ps 31:23, 62:10, 118:8, Rom 3:4. jag som sade i min ångest:

12 Hur ska jag återgälda Herren

alla hans välgärningar mot mig?

13 Jag vill höja frälsningens bägare

och åkalla Herrens namn,

14 *Ps 22:26, 61:9, 66:13. jag vill uppfylla

mina löften till Herren

inför hela hans folk.

15 *Ps 9:13, 72:14. Dyrbar i Herrens ögon

är hans trognas död.

16 O, Herre, jag är ju din tjänare,

jag är din tjänare,

din tjänarinnas son.

Du har lossat mina band.

17 *Ps 50:14, 66:13f. Åt dig vill jag offra lovets offer

och åkalla Herrens namn,

18 jag vill uppfylla

mina löften till Herren

inför hela hans folk,

19 i gårdarna till Herrens hus,

mitt i dig, Jerusalem.
