Lova Herren, min själ!

så länge jag lever,

lovsjunga min Gud

så länge jag är till.

till människors barn

som inte kan frälsa.

4 *1 Mos 3:19, Ps 90:3, 104:29, Pred 12:7. Deras ande lämnar dem,

de blir jord igen.

Den dagen går deras planer

om intet.

5 *Ps 40:5, 71:5, 144:15, Jer 17:7f. Salig är den som har Jakobs Gud

till sin hjälpare,

som sätter sitt hopp

till Herren sin Gud,

6 *Ps 33:4f, Apg 14:15, Upp 14:7. till honom som har gjort

himmel och jord och hav

och allt som finns i dem,

som är trofast för evigt,

7 som skipar rätt för de förtryckta

och ger bröd åt de hungriga.

Herren befriar de fångna,

8 *Ps 145:14, Jes 35:5, 42:7, Matt 11:5.Herren öppnar de blindas ögon,

Herren reser upp de nerböjda,

Herren älskar de rättfärdiga,

9 *5 Mos 10:18, Ps 1:6, 10:14, 18:27, 68:6f, 147:6.Herren bevarar främlingar

och stöder faderlösa och änkor,

men de gudlösas väg

gör han krokig.

10 *2 Mos 15:18, Ps 10:16, 145:13.Herren är kung för evigt,

din Gud, Sion,

från släkte till släkte.

9 The LORD preserveth the strangers; he relieveth the fatherless and widow: but the way of the wicked he turneth upside down.

10 The LORD shall reign for ever, even thy God, O Zion, unto all generations. Praise ye the LORD.
