1 耶和华是我的亮光， 是我的救恩， 我还怕谁呢？耶和华是我性命的避难所， 我还惧谁呢？（本节在《马索拉抄本》包括细字标题）

2 那些作恶的， 就是我的敌人、我的仇敌， 他们逼近我， 要吃我肉的时候， 就绊跌仆倒。

3 虽有军兵扎营攻击我， 我的心也不害怕； 虽然发动战争攻击我， 我仍旧安稳。

4 有一件事我求过耶和华， 我还要寻求； 我要一生一世住在耶和华的殿里， 瞻仰他的荣美， 在他的殿中求问。

5 因为在我遭难的日子， 他必把我藏在他的帐棚里， 把我隐藏在他帐幕的隐密处， 又把我高举在磐石上。

6 现在， 我可以抬起头来， 高过我四周的仇敌； 我要在他的帐幕里， 献上欢呼的祭； 我要歌唱， 颂赞耶和华。

7 耶和华啊！ 我发声呼求的时候， 求你垂听； 求你恩待我， 应允我。

8 你说： "你们要寻求我的面！ "那时我的心对你说： "耶和华啊！ 你的面我正要寻求。"

9 求你不要向我掩面， 不要发怒赶逐你的仆人， 你一向是帮助我的。拯救我的 神啊！ 求你不要撇下我， 也不要离弃我。

10 虽然我的父母离弃我， 耶和华却收留我。

11 耶和华啊！ 求你指示我你的道路； 为我仇敌的缘故引导我走平坦的路。

12 求你不要照着我敌人的心愿， 把我交给他们， 因为有作假见证的人起来攻击我， 并且口出凶暴的话。

13 我还是相信， 在活人之地， 我可以看见耶和华的恩惠。

14 你要等候耶和华， 要刚强， 要坚定你的心， 要等候耶和华。

1 Jehovah is my light and my salvation;

Whom shall I fear?

Jehovah is the strength of my life;

Of whom shall I be afraid?

2 When evil-doers came upon me to eat up my flesh,

Even mine adversaries and my foes, they stumbled and fell.

3 Though a host should encamp against me,

My heart shall not fear:

Though war should rise against me,

Even then will I be confident.

4 One thing have I asked of Jehovah, that will I seek after:

That I may dwell in the house of Jehovah all the days of my life,

To behold the beauty of Jehovah,

And to inquire in his temple.

5 For in the day of trouble he will keep me secretly in his pavilion:

In the covert of his tabernacle will he hide me;

He will lift me up upon a rock.

6 And now shall my head be lifted up above mine enemies round about me;

And I will offer in his tabernacle sacrifices of joy;

I will sing, yea, I will sing praises unto Jehovah.

7 Hear, O Jehovah, when I cry with my voice:

Have mercy also upon me, and answer me.

8 When thou saidst, Seek ye my face; My heart said unto thee,

Thy face, Jehovah, will I seek.

9 Hide not thy face from me;

Put not thy servant away in anger:

Thou hast been my help;

Cast me not off, neither forsake me, O God of my salvation.

10 When my father and my mother forsake me,

Then Jehovah will take me up.

11 Teach me thy way, O Jehovah;

And lead me in a plain path,

Because of mine enemies.

12 Deliver me not over unto the will of mine adversaries:

For false witnesses are risen up against me,

And such as breathe out cruelty.

13 I had fainted, unless I had believed to see the goodness of Jehovah

In the land of the living.

14 Wait for Jehovah:

Be strong, and let thy heart take courage;

Yea, wait thou for Jehovah.
