A loucura e corrupção do homem

1 *Sl 10.4;53.1Diz, no seu coração, o insensato: Não há Deus.

Corromperam e fizeram abomináveis as suas ações;

não houve *Sl 14.1-3;130.3;Rm 3.10-12quem fizesse o bem.

2 Jeová *Sl 33.13-14;102.19olhou lá do céu sobre os filhos dos homens,

para ver se havia alguém que *Sl 92.6tivesse entendimento,

que *1Cr 22.19buscasse a Deus.

3 Todos se *Sl 58.3desviaram, juntamente se fizeram imundos.

Não há *Sl 143.2quem faça o bem, não há nem sequer um.

4 Acaso, não *Sl 82.5têm conhecimento todos os que obram a iniquidade?

Eles *Sl 27.2;Jr 10.25;Am 8.4;Mq 3.3comem o meu povo como comem pão

e *Sl 79.6;Is 64.7não invocam a Jeová.

5 Ali, ficaram eles tomados de grande pavor,

porque Deus está na *Sl 73.15;112.2geração dos justos.

6 Vós quereis *Sl 42.3,10frustrar o conselho dos aflitos,

mas Jeová é o seu *Sl 40.17;46.1;142.5refúgio.

7 Oxalá que a *Sl 53.6salvação de Israel tivesse já vindo de Sião!

Quando Jeová *Sl 85.1-2puser termo ao cativeiro do seu povo,

regozije-se Jacó, e alegre-se Israel.

1 The fool has said in his heart, "There is no God."

They are corrupt.

They have done abominable deeds.

There is no one who does good.

2 Yahweh looked down from heaven on the children of men,

to see if there were any who understood,

who sought after God.

3 They have all gone aside.

They have together become corrupt.

There is no one who does good, no, not one.

4 Have all the workers of iniquity no knowledge,

who eat up my people as they eat bread,

and don’t call on Yahweh?

5 There they were in great fear,

for God is in the generation of the righteous.

6 You frustrate the plan of the poor,

because Yahweh is his refuge.

7 Oh that the salvation of Israel would come out of Zion!

When Yahweh restores the fortunes of his people,

then Jacob shall rejoice, and Israel shall be glad.
