1 *Js 22.22O poderoso Deus, Jeová, fala

e convoca a terra *Sl 113.3desde o nascer do sol até o seu ocaso.

2 Desde Sião, *Sl 48.2;Lm 2.15perfeição de beleza,

*Sl 80.1;94.1;Dt 33.2resplandece Deus.

3 O nosso Deus *Sl 96.13vem e não fica em silêncio;

e, em redor, reina *Sl 18.12-13uma grande procela.

e a terra, para o julgamento do seu povo.

e os gados, sobre milhares de outeiros.

11 Conheço *Mt 6.26todas as aves dos montes

e tudo o que se move no campo, tenho-o presente.

12 Se eu tivesse fome, não to diria a ti,

pois meu é *Sl 24.1;Êx 19.5;Dt 10.14o mundo e a sua plenitude.

13 Acaso, hei de comer a carne de *Sl 50.9touros

ou beber o sangue de bodes?

14 Oferece a Deus *Sl 27.6;69.30;107.22;116.17;Os 14.2;Rm 12.1;Hb 13.15sacrifício de ação de graças

16 Mas ao iníquo diz Deus:

Que fazes tu em recitares os meus estatutos

e em tomares a *Is 29.13minha aliança na tua boca,

17 visto que tu *Pv 5.12;12.1;Rm 2.21-22aborreces a instrução

*1Rs 14.9;Ne 9.26e lanças para trás das costas as minhas palavras?

18 Quando vias um ladrão, tu te *Rm 1.32comprazias nele

*1Tm 5.22e participavas com os adúlteros.

19 *Sl 10.7Soltas a tua boca para a perversidade,

*Sl 36.3;52.2e a tua língua trama enganos.

20 Sentado *Jó 19.18;Mt 10.21falas contra teu irmão;

difamas o filho de tua mãe.

21 Essas coisas tens feito, e *Ec 8.11;Is 42.14;57.11calei-me;

pensavas que eu me tornaria, sem dúvida, como tu.

Mas *Sl 90.8eu te arguirei e te porei tudo à vista.

22 Considerai isso, vós que *Jó 8.13;9.17vos esqueceis de Deus,

para que não vos *Sl 7.2despedace eu, sem haver quem acuda.

23 Aquele que *Sl 50.14oferece o sacrifício de ação de graças me glorifica;

e àquele que *Sl 85.13prepara o seu caminho,

*Sl 91.16far-lhe-ei ver a salvação de Deus.

A Psalm by Asaph.

1 The Mighty One, God, Yahweh, speaks,

and calls the earth from sunrise to sunset.

2 Out of Zion, the perfection of beauty,

God shines out.

3 Our God comes, and does not keep silent.

A fire devours before him.

It is very stormy around him.

4 He calls to the heavens above,

to the earth, that he may judge his people:

5 "Gather my saints together to me,

those who have made a covenant with me by sacrifice."

6 The heavens shall declare his righteousness,

for God himself is judge. Selah.

7 "Hear, my people, and I will speak.

Israel, I will testify against you.

I am God, your God.

8 I don’t rebuke you for your sacrifices.

Your burnt offerings are continually before me.

9 I have no need for a bull from your stall,

nor male goats from your pens.

10 For every animal of the forest is mine,

and the livestock on a thousand hills.

11 I know all the birds of the mountains.

The wild animals of the field are mine.

12 If I were hungry, I would not tell you,

for the world is mine, and all that is in it.

13 Will I eat the meat of bulls,

or drink the blood of goats?

14 Offer to God the sacrifice of thanksgiving.

Pay your vows to the Most High.

15 Call on me in the day of trouble.

I will deliver you, and you will honor me."

16 But to the wicked God says,

"What right do you have to declare my statutes,

that you have taken my covenant on your lips,

17 since you hate instruction,

and throw my words behind you?

18 When you saw a thief, you consented with him,

and have participated with adulterers.

19 "You give your mouth to evil.

Your tongue frames deceit.

20 You sit and speak against your brother.

You slander your own mother’s son.

21 You have done these things, and I kept silent.

You thought that I was just like you.

I will rebuke you, and accuse you in front of your eyes.

22 "Now consider this, you who forget God,

lest I tear you into pieces, and there be no one to deliver.

23 Whoever offers the sacrifice of thanksgiving glorifies me,

and prepares his way so that I will show God’s salvation to him."
