Diga agora Israel.

2 Muitas vezes me angustiaram desde a minha mocidade;

contudo, não *Jr 1.19;15.20;20.11;Mt 16.18;2Co 4.8-9prevaleceram contra mim.

3 Sobre as minhas costas lavraram os aradores;

prolongaram os seus sulcos.

4 Jeová é *Sl 119.137justo;

*Sl 140.5ele corta as costas dos perversos.

5 *Sl 70.3;71.13Sejam envergonhados e repelidos para trás

todos os que *Mq 4.11aborrecem a Sião.

6 Tornem-se *Sl 37.2;2Rs 19.26;Is 37.27como a erva dos telhados,

que, antes de florescer, seca;

7 e com a qual o ceifador não enche a mão,

nem o *Sl 79.12regaço, o que enfeixa.

8 Não dizem aqueles que passam:

Let Israel now say:

yet they have not prevailed against me.

3 The plowers plowed on my back.

They made their furrows long.

4 Yahweh is righteous.

He has cut apart the cords of the wicked.

5 Let them be disappointed and turned backward,

all those who hate Zion.

6 Let them be as the grass on the housetops,

which withers before it grows up,

7 with which the reaper doesn’t fill his hand,

nor he who binds sheaves, his bosom.

8 Neither do those who go by say,

"The blessing of Yahweh be on you.
