A obediência é melhor do que o sacrifício; oração a Deus para que o livre dos males

1 *Sl 25.5;27.14;37.7Esperei com paciência por Jeová;

ele se inclinou para mim e *Sl 34.15ouviu o meu clamor por socorro.

2 Também me tirou duma *Sl 69.2;Jr 38.6cova de perdição, dum tremedal de lama;

*Sl 27.5colocou os meus pés sobre uma rocha e *Sl 37.23firmou os meus passos.

3 Pôs *Sl 32.7;33.3um novo cântico na minha boca, hino de louvor ao nosso Deus.

Muitos *Sl 52.6;64.9verão isso, temerão

e confiarão em Jeová.

4 *Sl 84.12Feliz é o homem que faz de Jeová a sua confiança

*Jó 37.24e não se vira para os arrogantes e para os *Sl 125.5apóstatas mentirosos.

5 Muitas são, Jeová, Deus meu, *Sl 136.4;Jó 5.9as tuas maravilhas que tens feito

e bem assim os teus *Sl 139.17;Is 55.8pensamentos para conosco.

Ninguém há que se possa comparar a ti.

Se eu quisesse declará-los e deles falar,

abriste-me os ouvidos;

holocaustos e ofertas pelo pecado, não os exigiste.

7 Então, disse eu: Eis que venho;

no rolo do livro, está escrito a meu respeito.

8 Em fazer a tua vontade, Deus meu, eu me deleito;

9 *Sl 22.25Proclamei boas-novas de justiça nas grandes congregações;

eis que *Sl 119.13não fechei os meus lábios.

Tu, Jeová, *Sl 139.4;Jó 22.22o sabes.

10 Não *At 20.20,27ocultei dentro do meu coração a tua justiça;

*Sl 89.1declarei a tua fidelidade e a tua salvação.

Não escondi da grande congregação a tua benignidade e a tua verdade.

11 Tu, Jeová, não me retirarás as tuas ternas misericórdias;

*Sl 43.3;57.3;61.7;Pv 20.28a tua benignidade e a tua verdade sempre me guardarão.

12 Pois *Sl 18.5;116.3me cercaram males inumeráveis;

*Sl 38.4;65.3as minhas iniquidades me alcançaram, e não posso ver;

são *Sl 69.4mais que os cabelos da minha cabeça, e *Sl 73.26o meu coração me desamparou.

13 Digna-te, Jeová, livrar-me;

dá-te *Sl 22.19;71.12pressa, Jeová, em me socorrer.

14 Sejam, à *Sl 35.4,26;70.2;71.13uma, envergonhados e confundidos

aqueles que *Sl 63.9buscam tirar-me a vida;

sejam obrigados a voltar atrás e cubram-se de ignomínia

aqueles que folgam com o meu mal.

15 *Sl 70.3Fiquem desolados em razão da sua vergonha

16 Folguem e regozijem-se em ti

todos os que te buscam.

1 I waited patiently for Yahweh.

He turned to me, and heard my cry.

2 He brought me up also out of a horrible pit,

out of the miry clay.

He set my feet on a rock,

and gave me a firm place to stand.

3 He has put a new song in my mouth, even praise to our God.

Many shall see it, and fear, and shall trust in Yahweh.

4 Blessed is the man who makes Yahweh his trust,

and doesn’t respect the proud, nor such as turn away to lies.

5 Many, Yahweh, my God, are the wonderful works which you have done,

and your thoughts which are toward us.

They can’t be declared back to you.

If I would declare and speak of them, they are more than can be counted.

6 Sacrifice and offering you didn’t desire.

You have opened my ears.

You have not required burnt offering and sin offering.

7 Then I said, "Behold, I have come.

It is written about me in the book in the scroll.

8 I delight to do your will, my God.

Yes, your law is within my heart."

9 I have proclaimed glad news of righteousness in the great assembly.

Behold, I will not seal my lips, Yahweh, you know.

10 I have not hidden your righteousness within my heart.

I have declared your faithfulness and your salvation.

I have not concealed your loving kindness and your truth from the great assembly.

11 Don’t withhold your tender mercies from me, Yahweh.

Let your loving kindness and your truth continually preserve me.

12 For innumerable evils have surrounded me.

My iniquities have overtaken me, so that I am not able to look up.

They are more than the hairs of my head.

My heart has failed me.

13 Be pleased, Yahweh, to deliver me.

Hurry to help me, Yahweh.

14 Let them be disappointed and confounded together who seek after my soul to destroy it.

Let them be turned backward and brought to dishonor who delight in my hurt.

15 Let them be desolate by reason of their shame that tell me, "Aha! Aha!"

16 Let all those who seek you rejoice and be glad in you.

Let such as love your salvation say continually, "Let Yahweh be exalted!"

17 But I am poor and needy.

May the Lord think about me.

You are my help and my deliverer.

Don’t delay, my God.
