1 *Dem Vorsänger O. Musikleiter; so auch später mit Saitenspiel. Ein Psalm von David.Wenn ich rufe, antworte mir, Gott meiner Gerechtigkeit! In Bedrängnis hast du mir Raum gemacht; sei mir gnädig und höre mein Gebet! 2 Ihr Männersöhne, bis wann soll meine Herrlichkeit zur Schande sein? Bis wann werdet ihr Eitles lieben, Lüge suchen? (Sela.) 3 Erkennet doch, daß Jehova den Frommen für sich abgesondert *O. seinen Frommen ausgezeichnet hat! Jehova wird hören, wenn ich zu ihm rufe. 4 Seid erregt, *O. Zittert und sündiget nicht! Denket nach in eurem Herzen auf eurem Lager, und seid stille! (Sela.) 5 Opfert Opfer der Gerechtigkeit, und vertrauet auf Jehova!

6 Viele sagen: Wer wird uns Gutes schauen lassen? Erhebe, Jehova über uns das Licht deines Angesichts! 7 Du hast Freude in mein Herz gegeben, mehr als zur Zeit, da ihres Kornes und ihres Mostes viel war. 8 In Frieden werde ich sowohl mich niederlegen als auch schlafen; denn du, Jehova, allein lässest mich in Sicherheit wohnen.

3 Otiia kia mōhio koutou he mea momotu kē nā Ihowā te tangata tapu māna;

e whakarongo a Ihowā ua karanga ahau ki a ia.

4 Kia oho koutou, ā, kaua e hara;

kōrerorero ki ō koutou ngākau i runga i ō koutou moenga,

me te āta takoto anō. Hera

5 Patua ngā whakahere o te tika,

me te okioki anō ki a Ihowā.

6 He tokomaha te mea ana, "Mā wai e whakakite te pai ki a mātou?

Kia ara, e Ihowā, te mārama o tōu mata ki runga ki a mātou."

7 Hira ake te hari i hōmai e koe ki roto ki tōku ngākau

i tō rātou i te wā i hua ai ā rātou wīti, tā rātou wāina.

8 Ka takoto mārire ahau, ā, moe tonu iho;

ko koe anake hoki, e Ihowā,

hei mea kia au tōku noho.
