1 Diz o insensato no seu coração:
Não há Deus.
Corrompem-se e praticam iniquidade;
já não há quem faça o bem.
2 Do céu, olha Deus para os filhos dos homens,
para ver se há quem entenda,
se há quem busque a Deus.
3 Todos se extraviaram e juntamente se corromperam;
não há quem faça o bem, não há nem sequer um.
4 Acaso, não entendem os obreiros da iniquidade?
Esses, que devoram o meu povo como quem come pão?
Eles não invocam a Deus.
5 Tomam-se de grande pavor,
onde não há a quem temer;
porque Deus dispersa os ossos daquele que te sitia;
tu os envergonhas, porque Deus os rejeita.
6 Quem me dera que de Sião viesse já o livramento de Israel!
Quando Deus restaurar a sorte do seu povo,
então, exultará Jacó, e Israel se alegrará.
1 The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God.
Corrupt are they, and have done abominable iniquity;
There is none that doeth good.
2 God looked down from heaven upon the children of men,
To see if there were any that did understand,
That did seek after God.
3 Every one of them is gone back; they are together become filthy;
There is none that doeth good, no, not one.
4 Have the workers of iniquity no knowledge,
Who eat up my people as they eat bread,
And call not upon God?
5 There were they in great fear, where no fear was;
For God hath scattered the bones of him that encampeth against thee:
Thou hast put them to shame, because God hath rejected them.
6 Oh that the salvation of Israel were come out of Zion!
When God bringeth back the captivity of his people,
Then shall Jacob rejoice, and Israel shall be glad.
1 The fool says in his heart, "There is no God." They are corrupt, and their ways are vile; there is no one who does good.
2 God looks down from heaven on all mankind to see if there are any who understand, any who seek God.
3 Everyone has turned away, all have become corrupt; there is no one who does good, not even one.
4 Do all these evildoers know nothing? They devour my people as though eating bread; they never call on God.
5 But there they are, overwhelmed with dread, where there was nothing to dread. God scattered the bones of those who attacked you; you put them to shame, for God despised them.
6 Oh, that salvation for Israel would come out of Zion! When God restores his people, let Jacob rejoice and Israel be glad!
