Salmo

1 Dá ouvidos, ó pastor de Israel,

tu que conduzes a José como um rebanho;

tu que estás entronizado acima dos querubins,

mostra o teu esplendor.

2 Perante Efraim, Benjamim e Manassés,

desperta o teu poder e vem salvar-nos.

3 Restaura-nos, ó Deus;

faze resplandecer o teu rosto, e seremos salvos.

e a beber copioso pranto.

7 Restaura-nos, ó Deus dos Exércitos;

faze resplandecer o teu rosto, e seremos salvos.

8 Trouxeste uma videira do Egito,

expulsaste as nações e a plantaste.

9 Dispuseste-lhe o terreno,

ela deitou profundas raízes e encheu a terra.

olha do céu, e vê, e visita esta vinha;

18 E assim não nos apartaremos de ti;

vivifica-nos, e invocaremos o teu nome.

19 Restaura-nos, ó Senhor, Deus dos Exércitos,

faze resplandecer o teu rosto, e seremos salvos.

For the Chief Musician, set to Shoshanim Eduth. A Psalm of Asaph.

1 Give ear, O Shepherd of Israel,

Thou that leadest Joseph like a flock;

Thou that sittest above the cherubim, shine forth.

2 Before Ephraim and Benjamin and Manasseh, stir up thy might,

And come to save us.

3 Turn us again, O God;

And cause thy face to shine, and we shall be saved.

4 O Jehovah God of hosts,

How long wilt thou be angry against the prayer of thy people?

5 Thou hast fed them with the bread of tears,

And given them tears to drink in large measure.

6 Thou makest us a strife unto our neighbors;

And our enemies laugh among themselves.

7 Turn us again, O God of hosts;

And cause thy face to shine, and we shall be saved.

8 Thou broughtest a vine out of Egypt:

Thou didst drive out the nations, and plantedst it.

9 Thou preparedst room before it,

And it took deep root, and filled the land.

10 The mountains were covered with the shadow of it,

And the boughs thereof were like cedars of God.

11 It sent out its branches unto the sea,

And its shoots unto the River.

12 Why hast thou broken down its walls,

So that all they that pass by the way do pluck it?

13 The boar out of the wood doth ravage it,

And the wild beasts of the field feed on it.

14 Turn again, we beseech thee, O God of hosts:

Look down from heaven, and behold, and visit this vine,

15 And the stock which thy right hand planted,

And the branch that thou madest strong for thyself.

16 It is burned with fire, it is cut down:

They perish at the rebuke of thy countenance.

17 Let thy hand be upon the man of thy right hand,

Upon the son of man whom thou madest strong for thyself.

18 So shall we not go back from thee:

Quicken thou us, and we will call upon thy name.

19 Turn us again, O Jehovah God of hosts;

Cause thy face to shine, and we shall be saved.

1 Hear us, Shepherd of Israel, you who lead Joseph like a flock. You who sit enthroned between the cherubim, shine forth

2 before Ephraim, Benjamin and Manasseh. Awaken your might; come and save us.

3 Restore us, O God; make your face shine on us, that we may be saved.

4 How long, LORD God Almighty, will your anger smolder against the prayers of your people?

5 You have fed them with the bread of tears; you have made them drink tears by the bowlful.

6 You have made us an object of derision "to our neighbors, and our enemies mock us.

7 Restore us, God Almighty; make your face shine on us, that we may be saved.

8 You transplanted a vine from Egypt; you drove out the nations and planted it.

9 You cleared the ground for it, and it took root and filled the land.

10 The mountains were covered with its shade, the mighty cedars with its branches.

11 Its branches reached as far as the Sea, "its shoots as far as the River. [^3]

12 Why have you broken down its walls so that all who pass by pick its grapes?

13 Boars from the forest ravage it, and insects from the fields feed on it.

14 Return to us, God Almighty! Look down from heaven and see! Watch over this vine,

15 the root your right hand has planted, the son "you have raised up for yourself.

16 Your vine is cut down, it is burned with fire; at your rebuke your people perish.

17 Let your hand rest on the man at your right hand, the son of man you have raised up for yourself.

18 Then we will not turn away from you; revive us, and we will call on your name.

19 Restore us, LORD God Almighty; make your face shine on us, that we may be saved.
