1 Reina o Senhor; tremam os povos.

Ele está entronizado acima dos querubins; abale-se a terra.

2 O Senhor é grande em Sião

e sobremodo elevado acima de todos os povos.

3 Celebrem eles o teu nome grande e tremendo,

porque é santo.

4 És rei poderoso que ama a justiça;

tu firmas a equidade,

executas o juízo e a justiça em Jacó.

5 Exaltai ao Senhor, nosso Deus,

e prostrai-vos ante o escabelo de seus pés,

porque ele é santo.

6 Moisés e Arão, entre os seus sacerdotes,

e, Samuel, entre os que lhe invocam o nome,

clamavam ao Senhor, e ele os ouvia.

7 Falava-lhes na coluna de nuvem;

eles guardavam os seus mandamentos e a lei que lhes tinha dado.

8 Tu lhes respondeste, ó Senhor, nosso Deus;

foste para eles Deus perdoador,

ainda que tomando vingança dos seus feitos.

9 Exaltai ao Senhor, nosso Deus,

e prostrai-vos ante o seu santo monte,

porque santo é o Senhor, nosso Deus.

1 Jehovah reigneth; let the peoples tremble:

He sitteth above the cherubim; let the earth be moved.

2 Jehovah is great in Zion;

And he is high above all the peoples.

3 Let them praise thy great and terrible name:

Holy is he.

4 The king’s strength also loveth justice;

Thou dost establish equity;

Thou executest justice and righteousness in Jacob.

5 Exalt ye Jehovah our God,

And worship at his footstool:

Holy is he.

6 Moses and Aaron among his priests,

And Samuel among them that call upon his name;

They called upon Jehovah, and he answered them.

7 He spake unto them in the pillar of cloud:

They kept his testimonies,

And the statute that he gave them.

8 Thou answeredst them, O Jehovah our God:

Thou wast a God that forgavest them,

Though thou tookest vengeance of their doings.

9 Exalt ye Jehovah our God,

And worship at his holy hill;

For Jehovah our God is holy.

6 Moses and Aaron were among his priests, Samuel was among those who called on his name; they called on the LORD and he answered them.

7 He spoke to them from the pillar of cloud; they kept his statutes and the decrees he gave them.

8 LORD our God, you answered them; you were to Israel a forgiving God, though you punished their misdeeds. [^1]

9 Exalt the LORD our God and worship at his holy mountain, for the LORD our God is holy.
