A onipresença e a onisciência de Deus

1 Jeová, tu me *Sl 17.3;44.21;Jr 12.3sondas e conheces.

2 Tu *2Rs 19.27conheces o meu sentar e o meu levantar;

de longe, *Sl 94.11;Is 66.18entendes o meu pensamento.

3 *Jó 14.16;31.4Esquadrinhas a minha vereda e o meu pouso;

estás ciente de todos os meus caminhos.

4 Pois ainda a palavra não está na minha língua,

já tu, Jeová, a *Hb 4.13conheces toda.

5 Por detrás e por diante, me *Sl 34.7;125.2cercas

e *Jó 9.33pões sobre mim a tua mão.

6 Tal *Rm 11.33conhecimento é *Jó 42.3maravilhoso demais para mim;

elevado é, não o posso atingir.

7 *Jr 23.24Para onde me irei do teu Espírito?

Ou para onde fugirei da tua presença?

8 *Am 9.2-4Se eu subir aos céus, lá tu estás;

se eu fizer a minha cama no Sheol, eis *Jó 26.6;Pv 15.11que estás ali.

9 Se eu tomar as asas da alva,

e habitar nas extremidades do mar,

10 ainda lá me *Sl 23.2-3guiará a tua mão,

e me susterá a tua destra.

11 Se eu disser: Certamente, as *Jó 22.13trevas me encobrirão,

e a luz ao redor de mim se tornará noite;

12 até as *Jó 34.22;Dn 2.22trevas não são demasiado escuras para ti,

mas a noite resplandece como o dia.

Para ti, tanto fazem as *1Jo 1.5trevas como a luz.

13 Pois tu *Sl 119.73;Is 44.24formaste os meus rins,

*Jó 10.11entrelaçaste-me no ventre de minha mãe.

14 Graças te darei, pois sou assombrosa e maravilhosamente feito.

*Sl 40.5Maravilhosas são as tuas obras,

e a minha alma o sabe muito bem.

15 Não te era oculta a minha *Jó 10.8-10;Ec 11.5forma,

quando fui feito às ocultas

e primorosamente tecido nas *Sl 63.9profundezas da terra.

16 Os teus olhos viram a minha substância ainda informe;

e no *Sl 56.8teu livro, foram escritos os dias,

todos *Jó 14.5os dias que foram ordenados,

quando nenhum deles ainda existia.

17 Para mim, quão preciosos são os teus *Sl 92.5pensamentos, ó Jeová!

Quão grande é a soma deles!

18 Se eu os contasse, são eles *Sl 40.5mais numerosos do que a areia.

Quando *Sl 3.5acordo, ainda estou contigo.

19 Oxalá que *Is 11.4tirasses a vida ao perverso, ó Deus.

20 Eles se *Jd 15rebelam malvadamente contra ti,

Não *Sl 119.158abomino eu os que se levantam contra ti?

22 Aborreço-os com ódio completo;

eles se tornaram os meus inimigos.

1 O LORD, thou hast searched me, and known me.

2 Thou knowest my downsitting and mine uprising, thou understandest my thought afar off.

3 Thou compassest my path and my lying down, and art acquainted with all my ways.*139.3 compassest: or, winnowest

4 For there is not a word in my tongue, but, lo, O LORD, thou knowest it altogether.

5 Thou hast beset me behind and before, and laid thine hand upon me.

6 Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; it is high, I cannot attain unto it.

7 Whither shall I go from thy spirit? or whither shall I flee from thy presence?

8 If I ascend up into heaven, thou art there: if I make my bed in hell, behold, thou art there.

9 If I take the wings of the morning, and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea;

10 Even there shall thy hand lead me, and thy right hand shall hold me.

11 If I say, Surely the darkness shall cover me; even the night shall be light about me.

12 Yea, the darkness hideth not from thee; but the night shineth as the day: the darkness and the light are both alike to thee.*139.12 hideth…: Heb. darkeneth not*139.12 the darkness and…: Heb. as is the darkness, so is the light

13 For thou hast possessed my reins: thou hast covered me in my mother’s womb.

14 I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.*139.14 right…: Heb. greatly

15 My substance was not hid from thee, when I was made in secret, and curiously wrought in the lowest parts of the earth.*139.15 substance: or, strength, or, body

17 How precious also are thy thoughts unto me, O God! how great is the sum of them!

18 If I should count them, they are more in number than the sand: when I awake, I am still with thee.

19 Surely thou wilt slay the wicked, O God: depart from me therefore, ye bloody men.

20 For they speak against thee wickedly, and thine enemies take thy name in vain.

21 Do not I hate them, O LORD, that hate thee? and am not I grieved with those that rise up against thee?

22 I hate them with perfect hatred: I count them mine enemies.

23 Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts:
