de geração em geração.

desde a *Sl 93.2;102.24,27;Jr 10.10eternidade até a eternidade, tu és Deus.

3 Tu *Sl 104.29;Gn 3.19;Jó 34.14-15reduzes os mortais ao pó

e dizes: Tornai-vos, filhos dos homens.

4 Pois *2Pe 3.8mil anos aos teus olhos

são como o *Sl 39.5dia de ontem, ao findar-se,

e como *Êx 14.24;Jz 7.19vigília noturna.

5 Tu os *Jó 22.16;27.20arrebatas, como por uma torrente, são eles *Jó 20.8qual um sono.

De manhã são como a *Sl 103.15;Is 40.6relva que cresce,

6 de manhã, *Jó 14.2brota e cresce;

de tarde, é *Sl 92.7;Mt 6.30ceifada e *Tg 1.11seca.

7 Pois somos *Sl 39.11consumidos pela tua ira

e, pela tua cólera, somos conturbados.

8 Diante de ti, *Sl 50.21;Jr 16.17puseste as nossas iniquidades

à *Sl 19.12;Ec 12.14luz do teu rosto, os nossos pecados secretos.

9 Pois *Sl 78.33todos os nossos dias se passam na tua ira;

gastamos os nossos anos como um suspiro.

10 Os dias da nossa vida elevam-se a setenta anos

ou, em caso de vigor, a *2Rs 19.35oitenta anos.

O que lhes faz o orgulho é *Ec 12.2-7;Jr 20.18enfado e miséria,

porque depressa passa, e *Sl 78.39;Jó 20.8voamos.

11 Quem conhece o *Sl 76.7poder da tua ira

e a tua cólera, segundo o *Ne 5.9temor que te é devido a ti?

de sorte que *Pv 2.1-6alcancemos um coração sábio.

2 Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever thou hadst formed the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, thou art God.

3 Thou turnest man to destruction; and sayest, Return, ye children of men.

4 For a thousand years in thy sight are but as yesterday when it is past, and as a watch in the night.*90.4 when…: or, when he hath passed them

14 O satisfy us early with thy mercy; that we may rejoice and be glad all our days.

15 Make us glad according to the days wherein thou hast afflicted us, and the years wherein we have seen evil.

16 Let thy work appear unto thy servants, and thy glory unto their children.

17 And let the beauty of the LORD our God be upon us: and establish thou the work of our hands upon us; yea, the work of our hands establish thou it.
