A beleza e glória de Sião

1 *Sl 96.4;145.3;1Cr 16.25Grande é Jeová e mui digno de ser louvado,

*Sl 46.4na cidade de nosso Deus, no *Sl 2.6;87.1;Is 2.3;Mq 4.1;Zc 8.3seu santo monte.

2 *Sl 50.2De bela e alta situação, *Lm 2.15alegria da terra toda,

é o monte de Sião aos lados do norte,

*Mt 5.35cidade do grande Rei.

3 Nos palácios dela, fez-se Deus conhecer como *Sl 46.7alto refúgio.

4 Pois eis que *2Sm 10.6-13os reis se ajuntaram;

juntos marcharam.

5 Eles viram, ficaram então assombrados;

ficaram *Êx 15.15conturbados, apressaram-se em fugir.

6 Ali, se apoderou deles o tremor,

dores, como as *Is 13.8duma mulher que está de parto.

7 Com um *Jr 18.17vento oriental,

*1Rs 22.48quebras as *1Rs 10.22;Ez 27.25naus de Társis.

8 Como temos ouvido, assim vimos

na cidade de Jeová dos Exércitos, na cidade de nosso Deus.

Deus a *Sl 87.5estabelecerá para sempre. (Selá)

9 Meditamos, ó Deus, *Sl 26.3;40.10sobre a tua benignidade,

no meio do teu templo.

10 Como é *Dt 28.58;Js 7.9;Ml 1.11o teu nome, ó Deus,

assim é o *Sl 65.1-2;100.1teu louvor até os confins da terra.

*Is 41.10De retidão está cheia a tua destra.

11 Alegre-se o monte de *Sl 97.8Sião;

regozijem-se as filhas de Judá,

por causa dos teus juízos.

12 Dai voltas a Sião, ide ao redor dela;

contai as suas *Ne 3.1;11.25-27torres.

13 Notai bem os seus *Sl 122.7baluartes;

considerai os seus palácios,

para que o *Sl 78.5-7conteis à geração seguinte.

14 Pois este Deus é o nosso Deus para todo o sempre.

É ele quem nos *Sl 23.4;Is 58.11guiará até a morte.

3 God is known in her palaces for a refuge.

4 For, lo, the kings were assembled, they passed by together.

5 They saw it, and so they marvelled; they were troubled, and hasted away.

6 Fear took hold upon them there, and pain, as of a woman in travail.

7 Thou breakest the ships of Tarshish with an east wind.

8 As we have heard, so have we seen in the city of the LORD of hosts, in the city of our God: God will establish it for ever. Selah.

9 We have thought of thy lovingkindness, O God, in the midst of thy temple.

10 According to thy name, O God, so is thy praise unto the ends of the earth: thy right hand is full of righteousness.

11 Let mount Zion rejoice, let the daughters of Judah be glad, because of thy judgments.

12 Walk about Zion, and go round about her: tell the towers thereof.
