Jeová é um refúgio e uma defesa

1 Em Jeová me *Sl 2.12refugiei.

Como dizeis à minha alma:

Fugi, qual pássaro, para o vosso *Sl 121.1monte?

2 Pois eis que os iníquos *Sl 7.12;37.14armam o arco;

*Sl 64.3ajustam a sua seta na corda,

para *Sl 64.4dispararem do escuro contra os de reto coração.

3 Quando os *Sl 87.1;119.152fundamentos forem destruídos,

que poderá fazer o justo?

4 Jeová está no seu *Sl 18.6;Mq 1.2;Hc 2.20santo templo;

Jeová tem no céu o seu *Sl 103.19;Is 66.1;Mt 5.34;Ap 4.2trono.

Os seus *Sl 34.15-16olhos contemplam, as suas pálpebras sondam os filhos dos homens.

5 Jeová *Sl 34.19;Gn 22.1;Tg 1.12prova ao justo,

mas ao *Sl 5.5iníquo e ao que ama a violência, a sua alma os aborrece.

6 Fará *Sl 18.13-14chover laços sobre os iníquos;

*Gn 19.24;Ez 38.22fogo, enxofre e *Jr 4.11-12vento abrasador serão o quinhão do seu *Sl 75.8copo.

7 Pois Jeová é *Sl 7.9,11justo; *Sl 33.5ele ama a justiça.

Os retos *Sl 16.11;17.15verão o seu rosto.

1 In the LORD put I my trust: how say ye to my soul, Flee as a bird to your mountain?

2 For, lo, the wicked bend their bow, they make ready their arrow upon the string, that they may privily shoot at the upright in heart.*11.2 privily: Heb. in darkness

3 If the foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do?

4 The LORD is in his holy temple, the LORD’s throne is in heaven: his eyes behold, his eyelids try, the children of men.

5 The LORD trieth the righteous: but the wicked and him that loveth violence his soul hateth.

6 Upon the wicked he shall rain snares, fire and brimstone, and an horrible tempest: this shall be the portion of their cup.*11.6 an horrible…: or, a burning tempest

7 For the righteous LORD loveth righteousness; his countenance doth behold the upright.
