Louvem a Deus, o Senhor,
vocês que são seus servos,
2 vocês que estão na casa dele,
no Templo do nosso Deus!
3 Louvem o Senhor porque ele é bom;
cantem louvores a ele porque é bondoso.
4 Pois o Senhor escolheu Jacó
para ser dele,
escolheu o povo de Israel
para ser o seu tesouro.
5 Eu sei que o Senhor é grande;
o nosso Deus está acima
de todos os deuses.
6 O Senhor faz o que quer,
tanto no céu como na terra,
tanto nos mares
como nos oceanos profundos.
7 Dos fins da terra, ele traz as nuvens,
prepara os relâmpagos
para as tempestades
e faz com que o vento
saia dos seus depósitos.
8 Foi ele quem no Egito matou
todos os primeiros filhos,
tanto dos egípcios como dos seus animais.
9 Ali fez milagres e coisas maravilhosas
para castigar o rei
e todos os seus servidores.
10 O Senhor Deus destruiu muitas nações
e matou reis poderosos.
11 Ele matou Seom, o rei dos amorreus,
Ogue, rei de Basã,
e todos os reis de Canaã.
12 E a terra desses reis ele deu
a Israel, o seu povo,
para ser propriedade deles.
13 Ó Senhor, todos sempre saberão
que tu és Deus;
todas as gerações futuras
lembrarão de ti.
14 O Senhor defenderá o povo de Israel;
ele terá compaixão dos seus servos.
15 Os deuses das outras nações
são de prata e de ouro,
são feitos por seres humanos.
16 Eles têm boca, mas não falam;
têm olhos, mas não veem.
17 Têm ouvidos, mas não ouvem;
e não podem respirar.
18 Que fiquem iguais a esses ídolos
aqueles que os fazem
e também os que confiam neles!
19 Louve o Senhor Deus, povo de Israel!
Sacerdotes de Deus, louvem o Senhor!
20 Levitas, louvem o Senhor!
Todos os que o temem, louvem o Senhor!
21 Louvem o Senhor em Sião,
em Jerusalém, onde ele mora.

3 Praise ye Yah, For good is Yahweh, Sing praises to his Name, For it is full of delight;
4 For, Jacob, hath Yah chosen for himself, Israel, for his own treasure.
5 For, I, know that great is Yahweh, yea, our Lord, is beyond all gods.
6 Whatsoever Yahweh hath pleased, he hath done,in the heavens and on the earth, in the seas, and all resounding deeps:
7 Causing vapours to ascend from the end of the earth,Lightnings for the rain, hath he made, bringing forth wind out of his treasuries.
8 Who smote the firstborn of Egypt, both of man, and of beast;
9 Sent signs and wonders into thy midst, O Egypt, upon Pharaoh, and upon all his servants.
10 Who smote great nations, and slew mighty kings:
11 Sihon, king of the Amorites, and Og, king of Bashan, and all the kingdoms of Canaan;
12 And gave their land as an inheritance, an inheritance to Israel his people.
13 O Yahweh! thy Name, is age-abiding,O Yahweh! thy memorial, is to generation after generation.
14 For Yahweh will vindicate his people,and, on his servants, have compassion.
15 The idols of the nations, are silver and gold, the work of the hands of men:
16 A mouth, have they, but they speak not, Eyes, have they, but they see not;
17 Ears, have they, but they hear not, Nose,there is no breath in their mouth.
18 Like unto them, shall be they who make them, every one who trusteth in them.
19 O house of Israel! bless Yahweh, O house of Aaron! bless Yahweh;
20 O house of Levi! bless Yahweh, Ye that revere Yahweh! bless Yahweh.
21 Blessed be Yahweh out of Zion, Who inhabiteth Jerusalem, Praise ye Yah!
