1 Ó Senhor Deus, ouve a minha oração!
Escuta o meu pedido.
Responde-me, pois és fiel e bom.
2 Não julgues a mim, este teu servo,
pois ninguém é inocente diante de ti.
3 O meu inimigo me perseguiu até me pegar
e me derrotou completamente.
Ele me pôs numa prisão escura,
e eu sou como aqueles que morreram
há muito tempo.
4 Por isso, estou quase desistindo,
e o desespero despedaça o meu coração.
5 Eu lembro do passado.
Penso em tudo o que tens feito
e não esqueço as tuas ações.
6 A ti levanto as mãos em oração;
como terra seca, eu tenho sede de ti.
7 Ó Senhor Deus, responde-me depressa,
pois já perdi todas as esperanças!
Não te escondas de mim
para que eu não seja como aqueles
que descem ao mundo dos mortos.
8 Peço que todas as manhãs
tu me fales do teu amor,
pois em ti eu tenho posto
a minha confiança.
As minhas orações sobem a ti;
mostra-me o caminho que devo seguir!
9 Ó Senhor Deus, livra-me
dos meus inimigos,
pois em ti encontro proteção!
10 Tu és o meu Deus;
ensina-me a fazer a tua vontade.
Que o teu Espírito seja bom para mim
e me guie por um caminho seguro!
11 Conserva-me vivo, ó Senhor,
como prometeste!
E, porque és bom, livra-me
das minhas aflições.
12 Mata os meus inimigos,
pois tens amor por mim;
acaba com todos os que me perseguem,
pois eu sou teu servo.

1 O Yahweh, hear my prayer, Give ear to my supplications, In thy faithfulness, answer me, in thy righteousness.2 Do not then enter into judgment with thy servant, for no one living, can appear just before thee.3 For an enemy hath pursued my soul, hath crushed, to the earth, my life, hath made me dwell in dark places, like the ancient dead.4 Therefore hath my spirit, fainted concerning myself, Within me, hath, my heart, been confounded.5 I have remembered the days of aforetime, I have talked with myself of every deed of thine, Of the work of thy hands, I would speak:6 I have spread out my hands unto thee, My soul, is as a thirsty land, for thee. Selah.7 Speedily answer me, O Yahweh, My spirit faileth,Do not hide thy face from me, or I shall be made like unto them who go down into the pit.8 Let me hear, in the morning, thy lovingkindness, for, in thee, have, I trusted,Let me know the way in which I should walk, for, unto thee, have I uplifted my soul.9 Rescue me from my foes, O Yahweh, Unto thee, have I come seeking refuge.10 Teach me to do thy good pleasure, for, thou, art my God,Thy spirit, is good, thou wilt set me down to rest in a level land.11 For the sake of thy Name, O Yahweh, wilt thou give unto me life, In thy righteousness, wilt thou bring forth, out of distress, my soul;12 And, in thy lovingkindness, wilt thou exterminate my foes,and destroy all the adversaries of my soul, because, I, am thy servant.
