1 Eu canto a respeito da fidelidade
e da justiça;
canto hinos a ti, ó Senhor Deus.
2 Serei honesto em tudo o que fizer.
Quando virás
para te encontrares comigo?
Viverei uma vida correta na minha casa
3 e não deixarei que entre nela
nenhum mal.
Eu detesto as ações
daqueles que se afastam de Deus
e não tomarei parte nos seus pecados.
4 Afastarei de mim
pensamentos desonestos
e não terei nada a ver com a maldade.
5 Destruirei aqueles que falam mal
dos outros pelas costas
e não suportarei os orgulhosos
e os arrogantes.
6 Aprovarei os que são fiéis a Deus
e deixarei que morem no meu palácio.
Aqueles que vivem uma vida correta
poderão trabalhar para mim.
7 Nenhum mentiroso viverá
no meu palácio;
nenhuma pessoa fingida ficará
na minha presença.
8 Cada dia destruirei os maus
da nossa terra
e expulsarei da cidade do Senhor
todos os que praticam o mal.

1 Of lovingkindness and of justice, will I sing! Unto thee, O Yahweh, will I touch the strings!2 I will behave myself wisely in a blameless way, When wilt thou come in unto me? I will walk to and fro in the blamelessness of my heart,in the midst of my house:3 I will not set before mine eyes, a vile thing,The doing of them who fall away, I hate, It shall not cleave unto me;4 A perverse heart, shall depart from me, A maker of mischief, will I not acknowledge;5 He that uttereth slander in secret against his friend, him, will I root out; One of lofty eyes, and of an ambitious heart, him shall I not be able to endure.6 Mine eyes, shall be upon the faithful of the land, That they may dwell with me,he that walketh in a blameless way, he, shall attend me.7 There shall not dwell in the midst of my house, One who worketh deceit,he that speaketh falsehoods, shall not be established before mine eyes;8 Morning by morning, will I uproot, All the lawless ones of the land, That I may cut off, out of the city of YahwehAll the workers of iniquity.
