1 Deus é o nosso refúgio
e a nossa força,
socorro que não falta
em tempos de aflição.
2 Por isso, não teremos medo,
ainda que a terra seja abalada,
e as montanhas caiam
nas profundezas do oceano.
3 Não teremos medo, ainda que
os mares se agitem e rujam,
e os montes tremam violentamente.
4 Há um rio que alegra a cidade de Deus,
a casa sagrada do Altíssimo.
5 Deus vive nessa cidade,
e ela nunca será destruída;
de manhã bem cedo, Deus a ajudará.
6 As nações ficam apavoradas,
e os reinos são abalados.
Deus troveja, e a terra se desfaz.
7 O Senhor Todo-Poderoso
está do nosso lado;
o Deus de Jacó é o nosso refúgio.
8 Venham, vejam o que o Senhor
tem feito!
Vejam que coisas espantosas
ele tem feito na terra!
9 Ele acaba com as guerras
no mundo inteiro;
quebra os arcos,
despedaça as lanças
e destrói os escudos no fogo.
10 Ele diz: "Parem de lutar
e fiquem sabendo que eu sou Deus.
Eu sou o Rei das nações,
o Rei do mundo inteiro."
11 O Senhor Todo-Poderoso
está do nosso lado;
o Deus de Jacó é o nosso refúgio.

1 Godfor us, is a refuge and strength, A help in distresses, soon found.2 For this cause, will we not fear, Though the earth showeth change, Or the mountains slip into the heart of the seas:3 The waters thereof roar and foam, The mountains tremble with the swelling thereof Selah.4 A river! whose channels, shall gladden the city of God, The Most High, hath hallowed his habitation.5 God, is in the midst of her, she shall not be shaken, God will help her, by the turnings of the morning.6 Nations have roared, Kingdoms have tottered, He hath uttered his voice, Earth melteth.7 Yahweh of hosts, is with us, A high tower for us, is the God of Jacob. Selah.8 Come! view the doings of Yahweh,Who hath set desolations in the earth;9 Causing wars to cease unto the end of the earth,The bow, he shivereth, And breaketh in pieces the spear, war-chariots, burneth he up with fire.10 Let be! and know that, I, am God, I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.11 Yahweh of hosts, is with us, A high tower for us, is the God of Jacob.
