1 Cantarei a respeito da bondade

e da justiça;

a ti, Senhor, cantarei.

2 Quero, com sabedoria, refletir

no caminho da perfeição.

Quando virás ao meu encontro?

Em minha casa,

andarei com sinceridade

de coração.

3 Não porei coisa injusta

diante dos meus olhos.

Detesto a conduta

dos que se desviam.

Nada disto se pegará em mim.

4 Longe de mim o coração perverso;

não quero conhecer o mal.

5 Ao que às escondidas

calunia o próximo,

a esse destruirei;

o que tem olhar arrogante

e coração orgulhoso,

não o suportarei.

6 Os meus olhos procurarão

os fiéis da terra,

para que morem comigo;

o que anda em reto caminho,

esse me servirá.

7 Não ficará em minha casa

o que usa de fraude;

o que fala mentiras

não permanecerá

diante dos meus olhos.

8 Manhã após manhã, destruirei

todos os ímpios da terra,

para limpar a cidade do Senhor

dos que praticam a iniquidade.

1 Of lovingkindness and of justice, will I sing! Unto thee, O Yahweh, will I touch the strings!

2 I will behave myself wisely in a blameless way, When wilt thou come in unto me? I will walk to and fro in the blamelessness of my heart,in the midst of my house:

3 I will not set before mine eyes, a vile thing,The doing of them who fall away, I hate, It shall not cleave unto me;

4 A perverse heart, shall depart from me, A maker of mischief, will I not acknowledge;

5 He that uttereth slander in secret against his friend, him, will I root out; One of lofty eyes, and of an ambitious heart, him shall I not be able to endure.

6 Mine eyes, shall be upon the faithful of the land, That they may dwell with me,he that walketh in a blameless way, he, shall attend me.

7 There shall not dwell in the midst of my house, One who worketh deceit,he that speaketh falsehoods, shall not be established before mine eyes;

8 Morning by morning, will I uproot, All the lawless ones of the land, That I may cut off, out of the city of YahwehAll the workers of iniquity.
