A Song of Ascents.

1 I will lift up mine eyes unto the mountains:

From whence shall my help come?

2 My help cometh from Jehovah,

Who made heaven and earth.

3 He will not suffer thy foot to be moved:

He that keepeth thee will not slumber.

4 Behold, he that keepeth Israel

Will neither slumber nor sleep.

5 Jehovah is thy keeper:

Jehovah is thy shade upon thy right hand.

6 The sun shall not smite thee by day,

Nor the moon by night.

7 Jehovah will keep thee from all evil;

He will keep thy soul.

8 Jehovah will keep thy going out and thy coming in

From this time forth and for evermore.

1 Îmi ridic ochii spre munți…

De unde-mi va veni ajutorul?

2 Ajutorul*Ps. 124:8. îmi vine de la Domnul,

care a făcut cerurile și pământul.

3 Da, El nu*1 Sam. 2:9.Prov. 3:23,26. va îngădui să ți se clatine piciorul;

Cel ce te păzește nu*Ps. 127:1.Is. 27:3. va dormita.

4 Iată că nu dormitează, nici nu doarme

Cel ce păzește pe Israel.

5 Domnul este Păzitorul tău,

Domnul este umbra*Is. 25:4. ta pe mâna ta cea*Ps. 16:8;109:31. dreaptă.

6 De aceea nu te va bate soarele*Ps. 91:5.Is. 49:10.Apoc. 7:16. ziua,

nici luna noaptea.

7 Domnul te va păzi*Ps. 41:2;97:10;145:20. de orice rău,

îți va păzi sufletul.

8 Domnul te va păzi*Deut. 28:6.Prov. 2:8;3:6. la plecare și la venire,

de acum și până în veac.
