Salmos 50

A Psalm by Asaph.

1 The Mighty One, God, Yahweh, speaks,

and calls the earth from sunrise to sunset.

2 Out of Zion, the perfection of beauty,

God shines out.

3 Our God comes, and does not keep silent.

A fire devours before him.

It is very stormy around him.

4 He calls to the heavens above,

to the earth, that he may judge his people:

5 "Gather my saints together to me,

those who have made a covenant with me by sacrifice."

6 The heavens shall declare his righteousness,

for God himself is judge. Selah.

7 "Hear, my people, and I will speak.

Israel, I will testify against you.

I am God, your God.

8 I don’t rebuke you for your sacrifices.

Your burnt offerings are continually before me.

9 I have no need for a bull from your stall,

nor male goats from your pens.

10 For every animal of the forest is mine,

and the livestock on a thousand hills.

11 I know all the birds of the mountains.

The wild animals of the field are mine.

12 If I were hungry, I would not tell you,

for the world is mine, and all that is in it.

13 Will I eat the meat of bulls,

or drink the blood of goats?

14 Offer to God the sacrifice of thanksgiving.

Pay your vows to the Most High.

15 Call on me in the day of trouble.

I will deliver you, and you will honor me."

16 But to the wicked God says,

"What right do you have to declare my statutes,

that you have taken my covenant on your lips,

17 since you hate instruction,

and throw my words behind you?

18 When you saw a thief, you consented with him,

and have participated with adulterers.

19 "You give your mouth to evil.

Your tongue frames deceit.

20 You sit and speak against your brother.

You slander your own mother’s son.

21 You have done these things, and I kept silent.

You thought that I was just like you.

I will rebuke you, and accuse you in front of your eyes.

22 "Now consider this, you who forget God,

lest I tear you into pieces, and there be no one to deliver.

23 Whoever offers the sacrifice of thanksgiving glorifies me,

and prepares his way so that I will show God’s salvation to him."

ā, ka hūkerikeri te āwhā ki tētahi taha ōna, ki tētahi taha.

4 Ka karangatia e ia ngā rangi i runga, me te whenua hoki,

ki te whakaritenga mō tōna iwi.

5 "Huihuia mai ki ahau tāku hunga tapu,

te hunga i whakarite kawenata ki ahau i runga i te patunga tapu."

6 Ā, mā ngā rangi e whakakite tōna tika;

ko te Atua ake nei hoki te kaiwhakawā. Hera

7 "Whakarongo, e tōku iwi, ā, ka kōrero ahau;

e Īharaira, ka whakaatu ahau ki a koe;

ko ahau te Atua, ko tōu Atua.

8 E kore ahau e riri ki a koe mō āu patunga tapu;

ā, kei tōku aroaro tonu āu tahunga tinana.

9 E kore ahau e tango i tētahi pūru i roto i tōu whare,

i ētahi koati toa rānei i roto i āu taiepa.

10 Nāku nei hoki ngā kīrehe katoa o te ngahere,

ngā kararehe i runga i te mano o ngā pukepuke.

11 E mātau ana ahau ki ngā manu katoa o ngā maunga;

nāku anō ngā kīrehe o te pārae.

12 "Me he matekai tōku, e kore ahau e kōrero ki a koe;

nāku nei hoki te ao, me ōna tini mea.

13 E kai koia ahau i te kikokiko o ngā pūru,

e inu rānei i te toto o ngā koati?

14 Ko te whakawhetai hei patunga tapu māu ki te Atua;

whakamanā hoki āu kupu taurangi ki te Runga Rawa.

15 Ā, karanga ki ahau i te rā o te hē;

māku koe e whakaora, ā, ka whakakorōriatia ahau e koe."

16 Ki te tangata hara ia ka mea te Atua:

"He aha māu te whakapuaki i āku tikanga,

te whakahua rānei i tāku kawenata e tōu māngai?

17 Kua kino nei hoki koe ki te ako,

ā, e ākiri ana i āku kupu ki muri i a koe.

18 I tōu kitenga i te tāhae, nā, whakaae ana koe ki a ia;

ā, whai tahi ana me te hunga pūremu.

19 "Kua tukua e koe tōu māngai ki te kino;

ā, e tito hīanga ana tōu arero.

20 Noho ana koe, ka kōrero kino ki tōu teina;

ngautuarā tonu iho koe ki te tama a tōu whaea.

21 Ko āu mahi ēnei, ā, wahangū tonu ahau;

i mea koe he pēnā pū ahau me koe.

Otirā, ka rīria koe e ahau,

ka whakarārangitia anō aua mea ki tōu aroaro.

22 "Nā, whakaaroa tēnei, e te hunga kua wareware ki te Atua;

kei haehaea koutou e ahau, ā, kāhore he kaiwhakaora.

23 Ko te whakamoemiti te patunga tapu e whai korōria ai ahau;

ko te tangata hoki he tika nei tōna ara

ka whakakitea e ahau ki a ia te whakaoranga a te Atua."
