A song. A Psalm by Asaph.
1 God, don’t keep silent.
Don’t keep silent,
and don’t be still, God.
2 For, behold, your enemies are stirred up.
Those who hate you have lifted up their heads.
3 They conspire with cunning against your people.
They plot against your cherished ones.
4 "Come," they say, "let’s destroy them as a nation,
that the name of Israel may be remembered no more."
5 For they have conspired together with one mind.
They form an alliance against you.
6 The tents of Edom and the Ishmaelites;
Moab, and the Hagrites;
7 Gebal, Ammon, and Amalek;
Philistia with the inhabitants of Tyre;
8 Assyria also is joined with them.
They have helped the children of Lot. Selah.
9 Do to them as you did to Midian,
as to Sisera, as to Jabin, at the river Kishon;
10 who perished at Endor,
who became as dung for the earth.
11 Make their nobles like Oreb and Zeeb,
yes, all their princes like Zebah and Zalmunna,
12 who said, "Let’s take possession of God’s pasture lands."
13 My God, make them like tumbleweed,
like chaff before the wind.
14 As the fire that burns the forest,
as the flame that sets the mountains on fire,
15 so pursue them with your tempest,
and terrify them with your storm.
16 Fill their faces with confusion,
that they may seek your name, Yahweh.
17 Let them be disappointed and dismayed forever.
Yes, let them be confounded and perish;
18 that they may know that you alone, whose name is Yahweh,
are the Most High over all the earth.

He Īnoi mō te Patunga o ngā Hoariri o Īharaira
He waiata, he hīmene, nā Āhapa.
1 E te Atua, kei wahangū koe,
kei whakarongo puku, kei āta noho, e te Atua.
2 He mea hoki, tēnei ōu hoariri te ngangau nei,
ā, kua ara ngā mātenga o te hunga e kino ana ki a koe.
3 Kua āta ngārahu rātou ki tāu iwi,
e whakatakoto kōrero ana hoki rātou mō āu mea huna.
4 Kua mea nei rātou, "Tēnā, tātou ka huna i a rātou, kia kore ai tēnā iwi;
kia kaua ai hoki e maharatia te ingoa o Īharaira ā muri ake nei."
5 Kua kotahi tō rātou ngākau i a rātou e rūnanga ana;
kua whakatakoto rātou he tikanga kino ki a koe –
6 ko ngā tēneti o Ēroma, o ngā Ihimaeri,
o Moapa, o ngā Hakarini,
7 a Kepara, a Āmona, a Amareke,
ngā Pirihitini, me ngā tāngata o Tāira.
8 Kua uru hoki a Ahiria ki roto ki a rātou;
kua āwhinatia e rātou ngā tamariki a Rota. Hera
9 Pērātia rātou me Miriana;
me Hihera, me Iapini, i te awa i Kihona;
10 i mate nei ki Eneroro,
i waiho nei hei whakawairākau mō te whenua.
11 Kia rite ō rātou rangatira ki a Orepe rāua ko Teepe,
āe, ō rātou ariki katoa hoki ki a Tepa rāua ko Taramuna;
12 mō rātou i mea, "Tātou ka tango
ki te mura hoki e toro ai ngā maunga;
15 kia pērā te whai o tāu āwhā i a rātou,
tāu whakaohorere hoki i a rātou ki tāu paroro.
16 Whakakīia ō rātou kanohi ki te whakamā;
kia rapu ai rātou ki tōu ingoa, e Ihowā.
17 Kia whakamā, kia ohorere rātou ake ake;
āe, kia numinumi rātou, kia ngaro hoki.
18 Kia mātau ai rātou, ko koe anake,
ko Ihowā nei tōu ingoa,
te Runga Rawa i te whenua katoa.
