A Psalm by Asaph.
1 God presides in the great assembly.
He judges among the gods.
2 "How long will you judge unjustly,
and show partiality to the wicked?" Selah.
3 "Defend the weak, the poor, and the fatherless.
Maintain the rights of the poor and oppressed.
4 Rescue the weak and needy.
Deliver them out of the hand of the wicked."
5 They don’t know, neither do they understand.
They walk back and forth in darkness.
All the foundations of the earth are shaken.
6 I said, "You are gods,
all of you are sons of the Most High.
7 Nevertheless you shall die like men,
and fall like one of the rulers."
8 Arise, God, judge the earth,
for you inherit all of the nations.

Ko te Atua te Rangatira Tino Nui
He hīmene nā Āhapa.
1 E tū ana te Atua i roto i te whakaminenga o te Atua,
e whakawā ana i waenganui i ngā atua:
2 "Kia pēhea ake te roa o tā koutou whakawā hē,
o tā koutou whakapai ki ngā kanohi o te hunga kino. Hera
3 Whakatikaia tā te ware, tā te pani;
kia tika te whakawā mō te ngākau mamae, mō te rawakore.
4 Whakaorangia te ware me te rawakore;
tangohia mai rātou i te ringa o te tangata kino.
5 "Kāhore ō rātou mātauranga, kāhore hoki e mahara;
e kōpikopiko noa ana rātou i te pōuri;
e oioi ana ngā tūranga katoa o te whenua.
6 "I mea ahau, ‘He atua koutou,
he tama katoa nā te Runga Rawa.’
7 Heoi, ka pērā koutou me te tangata, ka mate;
ka hinga, ka pērā me tētahi o ngā piriniha."
8 E ara, e te Atua, whakawākia te whenua;
mōu hoki ngā tauiwi katoa!
