Salmos 109

MRI2012

For the Chief Musician. A Psalm by David.

1 God of my praise, don’t remain silent,

2 for they have opened the mouth of the wicked and the mouth of deceit against me.

They have spoken to me with a lying tongue.

3 They have also surrounded me with words of hatred,

and fought against me without a cause.

4 In return for my love, they are my adversaries;

but I am in prayer.

5 They have rewarded me evil for good,

and hatred for my love.

6 Set a wicked man over him.

Let an adversary stand at his right hand.

7 When he is judged, let him come out guilty.

Let his prayer be turned into sin.

8 Let his days be few.

Let another take his office.

9 Let his children be fatherless,

and his wife a widow.

10 Let his children be wandering beggars.

Let them be sought from their ruins.

11 Let the creditor seize all that he has.

Let strangers plunder the fruit of his labor.

12 Let there be no one to extend kindness to him,

neither let there be anyone to have pity on his fatherless children.

13 Let his posterity be cut off.

In the generation following let their name be blotted out.

14 Let the iniquity of his fathers be remembered by Yahweh.

Don’t let the sin of his mother be blotted out.

15 Let them be before Yahweh continually,

that he may cut off their memory from the earth;

16 because he didn’t remember to show kindness,

but persecuted the poor and needy man,

the broken in heart, to kill them.

17 Yes, he loved cursing, and it came to him.

He didn’t delight in blessing, and it was far from him.

18 He clothed himself also with cursing as with his garment.

It came into his inward parts like water,

like oil into his bones.

19 Let it be to him as the clothing with which he covers himself,

for the belt that is always around him.

20 This is the reward of my adversaries from Yahweh,

of those who speak evil against my soul.

21 But deal with me, Yahweh the Lord,109:21 The word translated "Lord" is "Adonai." for your names sake,

because your loving kindness is good, deliver me;

22 for I am poor and needy.

My heart is wounded within me.

23 I fade away like an evening shadow.

I am shaken off like a locust.

24 My knees are weak through fasting.

My body is thin and lacks fat.

25 I have also become a reproach to them.

When they see me, they shake their head.

26 Help me, Yahweh, my God.

Save me according to your loving kindness;

27 that they may know that this is your hand;

that you, Yahweh, have done it.

28 They may curse, but you bless.

When they arise, they will be shamed,

but your servant shall rejoice.

29 Let my adversaries be clothed with dishonor.

Let them cover themselves with their own shame as with a robe.

30 I will give great thanks to Yahweh with my mouth.

Yes, I will praise him among the multitude.

31 For he will stand at the right hand of the needy,

to save him from those who judge his soul.

Te Amuamu o tētahi Tangata i te Raruraru

Ki te tino kaiwhakatangi. He hīmene Rāwiri.

1 E te Atua, e whakamoemiti nei ahau,

kei wahangū koe.

2 Kua puaki hoki te māngai o te tangata kino

me te māngai o te tangata tinihanga, ki te mōku;

he teka ō rātou arero, e kōrero nei mōku.

3 I karapotia hoki ahau e rātou ki ngā kupu mauāhara,

ā, i whawhai takekore ki ahau.

4 tōku aroha he riri rātou whakautu;

ko ahau ia, he īnoi tāku.

5 E hōmai ana e rātou ki ahau he kino te pai,

he mauāhara tōku aroha.

6 "Meinga he tangata kino hei rangatira mōna;

kia he hoariri ki tōna ringa matau.

7 Kia tau te ki a ia, ina whakawākia;

kia waiho anō tāna īnoi hei hara.

8 Kia torutoru ōna ;

kia riro tāna mahi tirotiro i tētahi atu.

9 Kia pania āna tamariki,

kia pouarutia hoki tāna wahine.

10 Kia kōpikopiko noa āna tamariki, pīnono ai;

kia rapu kai hoki rātou i ō rātou wāhi mokemoke.

11 Kia haoa e te kaituku moni āna mea katoa;

kia pāhuatia hoki e ngā tāngata iwi āna māuiuitanga.

12 Kaua tētahi hei hoatu noa i te aroha ki a ia;

kaua hoki tētahi hei atawhai i āna pani.

13 Kia hātepea pūtia ōna uri;

ā, i muri whakatupuranga kia horoia rawatia atu ō rātou ingoa.

14 Kia maharatia e Ihowā te kino o ōna mātua;

kei murua hoki te hara o tōna whaea.

15 Kia mau tonu ki te aroaro o Ihowā;

kia hātepea atu ai e ia te maharatanga ki a rātou i runga i te whenua.

16 Mōna kīhai i mahara ki te mahi tohu;

heoi, tūkino ana ia i te ware, i te rawakore,

i te hunga ngākau marū, kia patua ai rātou.

17 Āe , i pai ia ki te kanga, ā, kua tae mai ki a ia;

kīhai ia i aro ki te manaaki, heoi kua mamao tērā i a ia.

18 I kākahu ia i te kanga ki a ia, ānō ko tōna kākahu;

, kua tae tērā ki roto ki a ia ānō he wai,

me he hinu hoki ki roto ki ōna wheua.

he whakaaro ki tōu ingoa;

te mea he pai tāu mahi tohu, whakaorangia ahau.

22 He ware hoki ahau, he rawakore,

kua mamae hoki tōku ngākau i roto i ahau.

23 Ka riro ahau me te ātārangi e whakawairua kau ana;

e peipeia ana ahau me he māwhitiwhiti.

24 Hūrorirori kau ōku turi i te nohopuku;

ā, e kohia ana te ngako o ōku kikokiko.

25 Kua waiho ahau hei tāwainga rātou;

ka kite rātou i ahau, ka rūrū ō rātou mātenga.

26 Āwhinatia ahau, e Ihowā, e tōku Atua;

kia rite ki tōu aroha tāu whakaora i ahau.

27 Kia mātau ai rātou ko tōu ringa tēnei;

ā, nāu tēnei, e Ihowā, i mea.

28 rātou e kanga, māu ia e manaaki;

kia whakamā rātou ina whakatika;

ko tāu pononga ia kia hari.

29 Kia whakakākahuria ōku hoariri ki te whakamā,

ā, ko rātou numinumi hei koroka hīpoki rātou.

30 Ka tino whakawhetai tōku māngai ki a Ihowā;

āe , ka whakamoemiti ahau ki a ia i waenganui o te mano.

31 E hoki ia ki te ringa matau o te rawakore,

hei whakaora i a ia i te hunga e whakahē ana i tōna wairua.
