Salmos 30

A Psalm. A Song for the Dedication of the Temple. By David.

1 I will extol you, Yahweh, for you have raised me up,

and have not made my foes to rejoice over me.

2 Yahweh my God, I cried to you,

and you have healed me.

3 Yahweh, you have brought up my soul from Sheol.*30:3 Sheol is the place of the dead.

You have kept me alive, that I should not go down to the pit.

4 Sing praise to Yahweh, you saints of his.

Give thanks to his holy name.

5 For his anger is but for a moment.

His favor is for a lifetime.

Weeping may stay for the night,

but joy comes in the morning.

6 As for me, I said in my prosperity,

"I shall never be moved."

7 You, Yahweh, when you favored me, made my mountain stand strong;

but when you hid your face, I was troubled.

8 I cried to you, Yahweh.

I made supplication to the Lord:

9 "What profit is there in my destruction, if I go down to the pit?

Shall the dust praise you?

Shall it declare your truth?

10 Hear, Yahweh, and have mercy on me.

Yahweh, be my helper."

11 You have turned my mourning into dancing for me.

You have removed my sackcloth, and clothed me with gladness,

12 to the end that my heart may sing praise to you, and not be silent.

Yahweh my God, I will give thanks to you forever!

1 Ka whakanui ahau i a koe, e Ihowā;

nāu hoki ahau i hāpai ake,

ā, kīhai i tukua ōku hoariri kia hari ki ahau.

2 E Ihowā, e tōku Atua, i karanga ahau ki a koe,

ā, kore ake tōku mate i a koe.

3 E Ihowā, nāu i whakaputa ake tōku wairua i te rēinga;

nāu ahau i whakaora kei heke ki te poka.

4 Hīmene ki a Ihowā, e tāna hunga tapu,

whakawhetai hoki ki tōna ingoa tapu.

5 He iti hoki te wāhi e riri ai ia;

he oranga ki te manakohia e ia.

E tau iho te tangi i te ahiahi,

ā, i te ata he hari.

6 I mea ahau i tōku wā i kake ai,

"E kore ahau e whakangāueuetia ā muri ake nei."

7 He manakohanga nāu, e Ihowā,

i ū ai i a koe te tū o tōku maunga;

i hunā e koe tōu mata,

ā, raru iho ahau.

8 E Ihowā, i karanga ahau ki a koe,

i īnoi hoki ki a Ihowā.

9 "He aha te pai o ōku toto

ina heke ahau ki te poka?

Mā te puehu koia koe e whakamoemiti?

Māna oti e whakapuaki tōu pono?

10 Whakarongo, e Ihowā, tohungia hoki ahau;

e Ihowā, ko koe hei āwhina mōku."

11 Kua puta kē i a koe tāku tangi hei kanikani;

kua wewete i tōku kākahu taratara,

ā, whītikiria ana ahau e koe ki te koa;

12 hei mea e hīmene ai tōku korōria ki a koe, kore ake e wahangū.

E Ihowā, e tōku Atua, ka whakawhetai ahau ki a koe ake ake.
