1 Deliver me from mine enemies, O my God*GodHebrew: Elohim secure me on high from them that rise up against me. 2 Deliver me from the workers of iniquity, and save me from men of blood. 3 For behold, they lie in wait for my soul; strong ones are gathered against me: not for my transgression, nor for my sin, O Jehovah. 4 They run and prepare themselves without my fault: awake to meet me, and behold. 5 Yea, do thou, Jehovah, the God*GodHebrew: Elohim of hosts, the God*GodHebrew: Elohim of Israel, arise to visit all the nations: be not gracious to any plotters of iniquity. Selah. 6 They return in the evening; they howl like a dog, and go round about the city: 7 Behold, they belch out with their mouth; swords are in their lips: for who say they doth hear?

8 But thou, Jehovah, wilt laugh at them; thou wilt have all the nations in derision. 9 Their strength! ...I will take heed to thee; for God*GodHebrew: Elohim is my high fortress. 10 God, whose loving-kindness will come to meet me, — God shall let me see my desire upon mine enemies. 11 Slay them not, lest my people forget; by thy power make them wander, and bring them down, O Lord, our shield. 12 Because of the sin of their mouth, the word of their lips, let them even be taken in their pride; and because of cursing and lying which they speak. 13 Make an end in wrath, make an end, that they may be no more; that they may know that God*GodHebrew: Elohim ruleth in Jacob, unto the ends of the earth. Selah. 14 And in the evening they shall return, they shall howl like a dog, and go round about the city. 15 They shall wander about for meat, and stay all night if they be not satisfied. 16 But as for me, I will sing of thy strength; yea, I will sing aloud of thy loving-kindness in the morning; for thou hast been to me a high fortress, and a refuge in the day of my trouble. 17 Unto thee, my strength, will I sing psalms; for God*GodHebrew: Elohim is my high fortress, the God*GodHebrew: Elohim of my mercy.

„Nu nimici". O cântare de laudă a lui David. Făcută când a trimis Saul să-i împresoare casa, ca să-l omoare

1 Dumnezeule, scapă-mă*Ps. 18:48. de vrăjmașii mei,

ocrotește-mă de potrivnicii mei!

2 Scapă-mă de răufăcători,

izbăvește-mă de oamenii setoși de sânge!

3 Căci iată-i că stau la pândă să-mi ia viața;

niște oameni porniți la*Ps. 56:6. rău urzesc lucruri rele împotriva mea,

fără*1 Sam. 24:11. să fiu vinovat, fără să fi păcătuit, Doamne!

4 Cu toată nevinovăția mea, ei aleargă, se pregătesc:

trezește-Te*Ps. 35:23;44:23., ieși înaintea mea și privește!

5 Doamne, Dumnezeul oștirilor, Dumnezeul lui Israel,

scoală-Te, ca să pedepsești toate neamurile!

N-avea milă de niciunul din acești vânzători nelegiuiți! (Oprire)

6 Se*Vers. 14. întorc în fiecare seară, urlă ca niște câini

și dau ocol cetății.

7 Da, din gura lor țâșnește răul,

pe buzele lor sunt săbii*Ps. 57:4.Prov. 12:18.,

căci zic: „Cine*Ps. 10:11,13;64:5;73:11;94:7. aude?"

8 Dar Tu*1 Sam. 19:16.Ps. 2:4., Doamne, râzi de ei,

Tu Îți bați joc de toate neamurile.

9 Oricare le-ar fi puterea, eu în Tine nădăjduiesc,

căci*Vers. 17.Ps. 62:2. Dumnezeu este scăparea mea.

10 Dumnezeul meu, în bunătatea Lui, îmi iese*Ps. 21:3. înainte,

Dumnezeu*Ps. 54:7;92:11;112:8. mă face să-mi văd împlinită dorința față de cei ce mă prigonesc.

11 Nu-i ucide*Gen. 4:12,15., ca să nu uite lucrul acesta poporul meu,

ci fă-i să pribegească, prin puterea Ta, și doboară-i,

Doamne, Scutul nostru!

12 Gura lor păcătuiește la fiecare*Prov. 12:13;18:7. vorbă care le iese de pe buze:

să se prindă în însăși mândria lor,

căci nu spun decât blesteme și minciuni!

13 Nimicește-i*Ps. 7:9. în mânia Ta, prăpădește-i ca să nu mai fie!

Fă-i*Ps. 83:18. să știe că împărățește Dumnezeu peste Iacov,

până la marginile pământului! (Oprire)

14 Se*Vers. 6. întorc în fiecare seară, urlă ca niște câini

și dau ocol cetății.

15 Umblă*Iov 15:23.Ps. 109:10. încoace și încolo după hrană

și petrec noaptea nesătui.

16 Dar eu voi cânta puterea Ta;

dis-de-dimineață, voi lăuda bunătatea Ta.

Căci Tu ești un turn de scăpare pentru mine,

un loc de adăpost în ziua necazului meu.

17 O, Tăria*Ps. 18:1. mea! Pe Tine Te voi lăuda,

căci*Vers. 9,10. Dumnezeu, Dumnezeul meu cel prea bun, este turnul meu de scăpare.
