1 Hear, O God*GodHebrew: Elohim my cry; attend unto my prayer. 2 From the end of the earth will I call unto thee, when my heart is overwhelmed: thou wilt lead me on to a rock which is too high for me. 3 For thou hast been a refuge for me, a strong tower from before the enemy. 4 I will sojourn in thy tent for ever; I will take refuge in the covert of thy wings. Selah.

5 For thou, O God*GodHebrew: Elohim hast heard my vows; thou hast given me the inheritance of those that fear thy name. 6 Thou wilt add days to the days of the king: his years shall be as many generations. 7 He shall abide before God*GodHebrew: Elohim for ever: bestow loving-kindness and truth, that they may preserve him. 8 So will I sing forth thy name for ever, performing my vows from day to day.

Un psalm al lui David

1 Ascultă, Dumnezeule, strigătele mele,

ia aminte la rugăciunea mea!

2 De la capătul pământului strig către Tine cu inima mâhnită și zic:

„Du-mă pe stânca pe care n-o pot ajunge, căci este prea înaltă pentru mine!"

3 Căci Tu ești un adăpost pentru mine,

un turn*Prov. 18:10. tare împotriva vrăjmașului.

4 Aș*Ps. 27:4. vrea să locuiesc pe vecie în cortul Tău,

să*Ps. 17:8;57:1;91:4. alerg la adăpostul aripilor Tale. (Oprire)

5 Căci Tu, Dumnezeule, îmi asculți juruințele,

Tu îmi dai moștenirea celor ce se tem de Numele Tău.

6 Tu adaugi*Ps. 21:4. zile la zilele împăratului:

lungească-i-se anii pe vecie!

7 În veci să rămână el pe scaunul de domnie, înaintea lui Dumnezeu!

Fă ca bunătatea*Ps. 40:11.Prov. 20:28. și credincioșia Ta să vegheze asupra lui!

8 Atunci voi cânta neîncetat Numele Tău

și zi de zi îmi voi împlini juruințele.
