To the chief Musician. A Song: a Psalm.

1 Shout aloud unto God*GodHebrew: Elohim all the earth: 2 Sing forth the glory of his name, make his praise glorious; 3 Say unto God*GodHebrew: Elohim How terrible are thy works! because of the greatness of thy strength, thine enemies come cringing unto thee. 4 All the earth shall worship thee, and sing psalms unto thee: they shall sing forth thy name. Selah. 5 Come and see the works of God*GodHebrew: Elohim he is terrible in his doings toward the children of men. 6 He turned the sea into dry land; they went through the river on foot: there did we rejoice in him. 7 He ruleth by his power for ever; his eyes observe the nations: let not the rebellious exalt themselves. Selah.

8 Bless our God*GodHebrew: Elohim ye peoples, and make the voice of his praise to be heard; 9 Who hath set our soul in life, and suffereth not our feet to be moved. 10 For thou, O God*GodHebrew: Elohim hast proved us: thou hast tried us, as silver is tried. 11 Thou broughtest us into a net, thou didst lay a heavy burden upon our loins; 12 Thou didst cause men to ride over our head; we went through fire and through water: but thou hast brought us out into abundance.

13 I will go into thy house with burnt-offerings; I will perform my vows to thee, 14 Which my lips have uttered, and my mouth hath spoken, when I was in trouble. 15 I will offer up unto thee burnt-offerings of fatted beasts, with the incense of rams; I will offer bullocks with goats. Selah. 16 Come, hear, all ye that fear God*GodHebrew: Elohim and I will declare what he hath done for my soul. 17 I called unto him with my mouth, and he was extolled with my tongue. 18 Had I regarded iniquity in my heart, the Lord would not hear. 19 But God*GodHebrew: Elohim hath heard; he hath attended to the voice of my prayer. 20 Blessed be God*GodHebrew: Elohim who hath not turned away my prayer, nor his loving-kindness from me!

Către mai-marele cântăreților.

O cântare. Un psalm

1 Înălțați lui Dumnezeu strigăte*Ps. 100:1. de bucurie, toți locuitorii pământului!

2 Cântați slavă Numelui Său,

măriți slava Lui prin laudele voastre!

3 Ziceți lui Dumnezeu: „Cât de înfricoșate*Ps. 65:5. sunt lucrările Tale!

Din*Ps. 18:44. pricina mărimii puterii Tale, vrăjmașii Tăi Te lingușesc.

4 Tot*Ps. 67:3;117:1. pământul se închină înaintea Ta

și cântă*Ps. 96:1,2. în cinstea Ta,

cântă Numele Tău." (Oprire)

5 Veniți*Ps. 46:8. și priviți lucrările lui Dumnezeu!

Ce înfricoșat este El când lucrează asupra fiilor oamenilor!

6 El a prefăcut*Exod 14:21. marea în pământ uscat

și râul*Ios. 3:14,16. a fost trecut cu piciorul:

atunci ne-am bucurat în El.

7 El stăpânește pe vecie prin puterea Lui.

Ochii*Ps. 11:4. Lui urmăresc pe neamuri,

ca cei răzvrătiți să nu se mai scoale împotriva Lui! (Oprire)

8 Binecuvântați, popoare, pe Dumnezeul nostru!

Faceți să răsune lauda Lui!

9 El ne-a păstrat sufletul cu viață

și n-a îngăduit să ni se clatine piciorul.

10 Căci Tu*Ps. 17:3.Is. 48:10. ne-ai încercat, Dumnezeule,

ne-ai trecut*Zah. 13:9.1 Pet. 1:6,7. prin cuptorul cu foc, ca argintul.

11 Ne-ai adus*Plâng. 1:13. în laț

și ne-ai pus o grea povară pe coapse.

12 Ai lăsat*Is. 51:23. pe oameni să încalece pe capetele noastre,

am trecut*Is. 43:2. prin foc și prin apă,

dar Tu ne-ai scos și ne-ai dat belșug.

13 De aceea, voi merge*Ps. 100:4;116:14,17-19. în Casa Ta cu arderi-de-tot,

îmi voi*Ecl. 5:4. împlini juruințele făcute Ție,

14 juruințe care mi-au ieșit de pe buze,

pe care mi le-a rostit gura când eram la strâmtorare.

15 Îți voi aduce oi grase ca ardere-de-tot,

cu grăsimea berbecilor,

voi jertfi oi împreună cu țapi. (Oprire)

16 Veniți*Ps. 34:11. de ascultați, toți cei ce vă temeți de Dumnezeu,

și voi istorisi ce a făcut El sufletului meu!

17 Am strigat către El cu gura mea,

și îndată lauda a fost pe limba mea.

18 Dacă*Iov 27:9.Prov. 15:29;28:9.Is. 1:15.Ioan 9:31.Iac. 4:3. aș fi cugetat lucruri nelegiuite în inima mea,

nu m-ar fi ascultat Domnul.

19 Dar Dumnezeu m-a*Ps. 116:1,2. ascultat,

a luat aminte la glasul rugăciunii mele.

20 Binecuvântat să fie Dumnezeu,

care nu mi-a lepădat rugăciunea

și nu mi-a îndepărtat bunătatea Lui!
